So it looks like a lot of people think this wasn't a foul or was a soft foul...but it's very obvious. Check this video I uploaded with the slow motion angle (visible in this video too). ua-cam.com/video/3N8Oknb6mUU/v-deo.html Elbow to the head especially on a drive? Foul every time, and probably a flagrant every time too. The NBA is definitely softer now but this was a blown call.
Curry had the whole left side of the lane, yet tried to go to the right side....even though Mann was right there. That's why I really don't watch basketball anymore. The ball carrier expects the defender to have to get out of the way....they have a right to be there. The announcer said it best at 0:59: "I know Steph initiates it"....yeah, that's literally the definition of an offensive foul. Steph went up against a person a foot taller than him by literally jumping right at him....and expecting a foul.
I think maybe the problem is that every camera angle shows Steph flying through the air at the defender attempting to draw the foul. The announcers even admit he initiated the contact..
This was the first time I've watched a Stephen Curry game live. I obviously know he's the greatest shooter of all time from all the stats, clips and talks I've seen, but there is something that is just SO magical watching him go and do this live... it's undescribable. It’s crazy how everyone missing this version of curry when he’s been here all along. He had a lil slump yes but even with that hes about to take his team to the finals 💯🤣🤣
A little slump? Yes he’s certainly recovered from it, but it was a historically horrible slump. He was impacting his team negatively, and with such a high PER prior to the slump, the decline is record breaking. It wasn’t just a little slump. A slump refers to when someone’s skills decline for a short period of time for various reasons. Someone shooting a slightly worse percentage for a few games, is a little slump. This was one of the worst slumps ever recorded from any non-bench player in the history of the NBA.

Nice to see curry out of the slump again in the playoffs. Crazy how people say the slump was 4 months long though, ever since january. Curry had 48% fg in 24 points shooting (while being pass first) in February, and throughout 8 games he averaged 51 40 100 splits on 24 ppg.

Curry didn't smile one time during game 2 of the NBA finals, and dropped 29 points including five three-pointers. Well on his way to his first NBA finals MVP. Especially considering in their losing effort he dropped 6 threes in the first quarter of game 1, an NBA finals record. Dude is in an entire other galaxy

This is exactly what's wrong with the NBA. Refs miss a call, players react to that missed call, and then they get teched. So instead of walking away with 2 free throws and what should've been a foul, they walk away with no free throws and a tech. Ridiculous

There were several fouls in all of these clips. The inconsistency the league has allowed this season from the officials is pretty unacceptable.
