Very touching video. Sometimes a love one leaves us with so many questions and unresolved issues. To be able to reach out and touch a love one's heart and allow that person to go on with the rest of his/her life in serenity is truly the best final gift from the departed.
When you love your man like i did and so many widows here did then they are the reason you get up in the day and what you can not go without seeing or hearing from in the evening. They are what you do the reason you are alive. Taking care of them makes us happy and compleat. And when you loose that person it is a feeling so wanting and lonely and hallow and painful to have them just gone from your life. I felt like i was sick with suffering like a terrible illness in my body and sole. It physically hurt to wake up and see the new days without him. The pit in my stomach upon wakening was the first thing i felt. Then the shock. Then the sadness. Then the tears. Every day started like this for me.. But the days still came without him and I got drug by the train for a time. One day for whatever reason i was able to make myself get on the train. And it's so hard to make yourself do it. What a struggle it was to get up on that train. And i resented life for making me have to do it for sure. Im not a saint after all. Just a human who had to go on living without a reason to do so. I won’t say you get on with your life because for me it was more like excepting new days with the knowledge that he was no longer physically next to me and that he was having a new experiences and maybe even evolving his sole in his new different world just as i was. I didnt get it fast or perfect after his sudden death. Not by a long shot. Even today i miss him and who i was then. Who we whereas a couple. I miss it. Its like i died that day too. I am a different person because of loosing him and because of the changes that happen to everyone who gets to live a life in to there 50s (so far). Good and bad changes (like aging bones or not sweating the small stuff). What a mix. But its me now today. I prey that all the people grieving that are in the midst of there suffering will find the moment that is bearable. Even if it's just a moment of re leaf. Those moments added together are all we have sometimes. I know hearing what Matt has to say can be the catalyst for relief for many of us because it has helped me. I wish you all relief.
