As an old n.y.picker, I would suggest you stay away from adjustable rings. They usually are made cheaply and turn quickly. I had great success with sterling and real semi precious stones. Glass stones should not be scratched. Glass beads are hot now. If the metal is dull, it will tarnish or fade. Hope you don’t mind my 2 cents.

At my local swap meet aka flea market the men vendors sell mostly tools they always have that one tool box full of grimy jewelry all in a ball tangle together I usually just offer them five bucks for the whole thing sometimes they say okay other are like nah.

Not long ago at a flea market I bought having been told was a gold plated bangle shaped like a nail with apparently crystals set in, it only turned out to be an 18 carat gold cartier nail bangle with 0.82 carats vs1 diamonds worth £3,5000. I paid £4. You couldn't really see the hallmarks unless you had a loop, luckily I did. So go buy one and never forget to take it with you! If you have a diamond tester? Then you don't need any advice.

At 41:35 that is a Rainbow Girls bar pin an affiliate of the Masons and Eastern Star for girls and the end is the pot of gold each of the bars are earned through teachiings until you get all of the rainbow colors and then the pot at the end.

At 32:30, the wire wrapped quartz is identical to pieces they sold as bracelets and necklaces in the 70's. We were cross country road tripping and each kid got a turn at every stop, to pick something out. I picked those out, at the Grand Canyon North Rim souvenir shop. 'Real', over the limit sterling ring, Navajo came from Santa, but I kept the bracelet and necklace (not sterling, not signed) until the metal bacame brittle and sort of fell apart. They were tourist pieces, for those of us with 10$ limits, lolz. That one was in amazing condition!
I has to tell you I had one of those eye rings back in the day (won't say how far back!) But I so wish I had of kept some of those I just moved so much then came to USA in my 20s but now my daughter is into jewelry I have a few things but man that eye ring brought back memories very cool xxx❤

I bought it with my pocket money 48 years ago for $1.49. I still have it but the band is really thin and threatening to snap. I have amassed a collection of at least 80 rings over the years (only a few "expensive " ) I'm enjoying coming along with you on your hunts. Looking forward to seeing so many more of your videos.
