If you study this man's back-story, it's nothing short of amazing that he's still with us, and that his genius even had a chance to mature. His performances are so moving because it's so real you can almost imagine the pain he's carried for so long. When I see him smile, it makes me want to cheer for him! He's such a gentle soul and yet imagine the strength it must have taken to come back from the ugly depths he was in. He lives in his music and it is simply beautiful.

i like how he's is in such as massive band but his solo/ataxia stuff is so underground
It's amazing to see how Frusciante makes us all feel! It seems that people who 'get it' enter such a beautiful and unique space. I've never felt anything like the way his music makes me feel. It's beautiful to see so many people feeling that way too.
I recently re-discovered River Phoenix's band Aleka's Attic. That led me to his collaboration with John Frusciante on Height Down, which finally led me here. And I'm HOME. I've spent the last few days watching every live performance here and bought all his music on itunes so I can have it with me. I understand now the deep connection and mutual admiration these two friends must've had for one another--both rare and true geniuses in their crafts. This music is a gift I'm so grateful to have found
and there are still people who blame John for River's death...
I just love the passion he has. It is just amazing energy.
