I learned so much about Russ that I never knew! The fact that he has done all that in addition to serving the country, is an example of how great he is for the retro, handheld, and gaming communities. All wrapped up in a humble personality. So glad yall had him on! Also want to say that I absolutely love my Steam Deck, and it has absolutely changed how I game. So many people forget how it crosses the PC and console boundary, with incredible retro gaming utility. For anyone on the fence, grab one if it's in your budget. The 64gb model with a big SD card will take you far.
This was a fun episode. Retrododo and Retro Game Corps were my introduction to retro handheld gaming, and I really enjoy their insights Sadly, Steam Deck is prohibitively expensive in South Africa. But since my daughter was born, I really see the value in it
I'm listening right now and one thig that come to my mind is: Steam Deck is pretty easy to use for average people AND is full of possibility to tweak, change and add stuff for a guy like me who like to learn about the device. I'm 50/50 playing or explore settings etc. I love you're channels and learn so much in there. The Steamdeck is an incredible device as my RG552 and my 3DS. Thanks guys for you're good work!!!
This was a fantastic show. you are all so talented, In and out of the gaming community. Russ you have done so much dude🔥🔥 Thanks for an awesome podcast brothers 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Fantastic podcast, you've got yourself a new subscriber! Btw. gyro controls on steamdeck / swicth is a life saver in FPS games for me :) But only for small aim adjustment, not that I'd wave the steamdeck all around :D
A few more Deck advantages are the Steam store sales and repairability. Just being able to buy replacement parts from ifixit is great for longevity. No USB4 eGPU support is my main gripe with the deck.
Thanks for having me on, guys! This was fun.
and thank you for joining! We'll have to get you back on this summer!
Dude! Thanks for blessing the mics with your wisdom. I'm seriously on the fence about the Steam Deck now because of you.

Yeah. I'm someone who likes to tinker and optimize, so the initial barrier of the Steam Deck is kind of appealing to me. Thanks for listening!

Yeah - it's weird how tech support isn't one of those things you appreciate until you need it.
