Acute ischaemic stroke - CT scan features for beginners. Signs of acute infarction on CT brain.
In this video I provide a basic approach to assessing for acute ischaemic stroke on CT scan. We review the cerebrovascular anatomy focussing on cerebral vascular territories and the Circle of Willis.
This should help those looking to learn how to read head CT imaging.
We cover the hyperdense artery sign, the insular ribbon sign and the disappearing basal ganglia sign.

So my mom had CT Scan of the Brain will that show medulla oblongata in the scan and brainstem?

There was a doctor that made a video recently stating that a CT scan is likely to cause actual cancer in 7-10 years from the radiation even if other doctors try to downplay the radiation amount. What are your thoughts on this?
It’s a load of rubbish. (But you see what they’ve done there, now it just looks like I’m downplaying it). There is risk with ionising radiation, albeit very low, and these risks need to be weighed up against the risks associated with not doing the scan. Will make a video one day going over risks and benefits
♥️♥️
Picture is little blur at 6.18. It would be good to be clear. But you explained very clearly❤
