    Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to me.
    I think the missing step for me was in not creating the audio folder. I followed the manual diagram and misunderstood, play sync my audio in the project folder instead. Thank you so much again

      You're welcome. Watch my other video (the main in depth review) and it shows all the stuff you need as an advanced user ua-cam.com/video/3zySOqjdaMA/v-deo.htmlsi=sPafAj2RKXNkXrtT

    Hey if you don't mind me asking, what SD card did you end up using? And what size? Is 128GB enough to record 2 hr long rehearsals with 20 inputs? Thank you!!

    • @PetesGuitarUniverse
      @PetesGuitarUniverse  4 місяці тому +2

      Yes, that'll work. But not sure it takes that high a MB card. I had a 64GB card SanDisk Extreme and it was fine for hours of recording.

    • @vkportable
      @vkportable 2 місяці тому +2

      @@PetesGuitarUniverse It will take up to 64 to 512 GB SDXC cards.

    Thank you yes I'm certainly going to do that.
    I did as you said, created the audio folder and put the file in it .
    Piano file originally recorded in 48 sample rate.
    Converted that to 44.1
    In logic pro .
    When trying to import it to L20,.
    Saw it, however said incorrect sample rate.
    44.1 I set on the L20.
    I don't know why it would not import.
    My file saved as 44.1, L20 same.
    Was it because I'd originally recorded at 48?
    Thanks so much. I'm also going to check manual again.
    For that.

      Just check the switch on the back of the device is set to 44.1. If it is already, then next check if it's a stereo or mono file. If it's piano, I assume it should be exported from your DAW as a stereo file. Check in file properties that it is. And remember you can only import via USB flash drive to channels 17&18, or 19&20. Keep us posted.

    Hey, is it possible to play the music and record at the same time? Like a drum cover for example? Playing the drumless track with the l-20 and record ur drums to it?

    Files are stereo.
    Still error message.
    I have two zoom L20.
    Same with both.
    Firmware needs update.
    Could this be the problem

    Having trouble importing my audio from USB
    Drive.
    Could you tell me the proper name so that I can import please?
    So appreciate that😊😊 thank you

      Just put the audio files in the audio folder, as detailed in the video, then put the usb drive in the L20. Make sure you are importing mono files to mono tracks and stereo files to stereo tracks.

    My old R24 allowed for bouncing - the L20 unfortunately does not :(
    If I mastered say 12 instrumental tracks and saved that to a usb stick on the L20, would that allow me to import them to a new project (say tracks 19/20) thus freeing the rest of the tracks for my multitracked vocals (of which I usually require 16 tracks)?
    I’ve heard of ppl creating a headphone mix for say headphone output A , then running a patch cable from output A directly into an open channel and dumping the whole mix there as it is. Could that work as a bounce method?
    I ask because atm the only thing holding me back from buying an L20 is the lack of a bounce feature. Your videos have been very helpful so far :)

    • @PetesGuitarUniverse
      @PetesGuitarUniverse  4 місяці тому +1

      Yes, you can export the stereo mix and re-import onto any stereo paired channel you like. You could also send the mix out via a headphone submix back into 2 channels using a Y splitter cable in real time. The easiest way would be to mix the track, record the mixdown to 19/20. The re-record (overdub) on the other channels 1-18 however you like.

      Another way would be to get a USB stick with an ST card and probably one that’s already been formatted in now 12 and ask Mr create a fresh track to import I’ve had that problem sometimes two words there is import sometimes it won’t export sometime is it well but I also have the L 12 hour late and the L8 believe it or not I can do things that Non the other two can do like you can assign tracks go to the ST card files like you would in MP3 player and find everything that’s on my card. Basically I do be strums some guitar on main stereo what is the L 12 it’s always in the last few tracks I do that and the singing vocals and piano somewhere else but then when you go to the lake you have to put that on either seven or eight and the singing on 1-6 That’s a cheesy way of getting them replicated one of the biggest problems is I don’t like ST cards as I feel Non matter how well you take care of them you shouldn’t take them out that often if they’re in there are you don’t need to but learn how to duplicate or cloning as it’s called because that’s in part of my problem these things we’re out very quickly putting them in and I’ll be The ejector Sandisk 64 gab 170 mb is more than enough but 128 gb works fine.

    Dear Pete...Can the L20 do Punch In & Punch Out?

    • @PetesGuitarUniverse
      @PetesGuitarUniverse  11 місяців тому +1

      Yes indeed. Just use the markers to set location points. Or manually do it via the buttons

      @@PetesGuitarUniverse Thank you Sir for the prompt reply. I currently using the QSC Touchmix 30 Pro. The sound of the TM 30 Pro is simply awesome & can do what the L20 can do but much more. The only thing i wished it could do is the Punch In & Out (& markers...). The TM30 Pro, can do punch in/out but unfortunately at the point where the recording starts/end at the punch in/out, there is very loud "thump" noise, making punch in/out not practical at all... Anyway, thanx for the clarification... Btw, this a link to one of my UA-cam videos, featuring myself using/mixing a live band using the QSC Touchmix 30 Pro.... ua-cam.com/video/IZI1NF4NPgQ/v-deo.htmlsi=3KxQYwE8BV53NLr0

      @@lankududniteshift weird that the tm30 makes an audible noise when punching in. That's a major problem. The L20 is silent in operation. It's wonderful. In depth review here ua-cam.com/video/3zySOqjdaMA/v-deo.htmlsi=S8PWPUFVuy13g6tB

      @@PetesGuitarUniverse I have watched yr in depth review video as per yr link above. I noticed, towards 2 third of the video, where u were demonstrating the recording procedures. There's a section where it shows the audio files' folders & it shows audio track file 10 to 16 & the stereo file 17 & 18. Does this means that with the L20, if for instance, i am using the L20 in a live band recording, using up all the 16 XLR inputs (drums, gtrs, vocals, etc) & the two stereo jack input (for two keyboards, in stereo), will it only record just the first 16 XLR inputs only but not inclusive the two stereo inputs? Sorry again to bother u...

      @@lankududniteshift it records on all 20 channels. As well as the master mix. I was just using the stereo channels for the stereo audio file backing music, over which I was recording the vocals on the mono channels

    The problem was the SD memory card. Zoom l20 does not take anything higher than 32gb.
