Thank you so much for being upfront about the brands! Most youtubers I've watched kind of skirt around what sells. I find women's clothing much harder to sell than men's simply because it's all about style instead of brand (ie some styles of J crew will only go for $1, while others can go for $25) so I appreciate the honesty in the brands and styles that have sold! Thank you!!!

Clothing sales have definitely dropped, A LOT. Around a year ago I sold over $1,200 in four days, and I only average around 200 items listed. I haven't done that since though, and some clothing items that used to sell easily just sit now. I've really had to learn to be much pickier, especially since I don't keep a high listing count.

Thanks for sharing :) Heard from a big sales biz man that clothes (new) are the most competable market but this is used ones maybe it is some easier and depends on price. Also depends on countries where you live. I tried but it is very hard to sell anything when it comes to clothing also books. Seems to be that the market is done. When you put out around 10 ads and you sell maybe 1 it is not that fun anymore. Even though you try different strategies it is hard to sell anyway and the money is nt worth it. If you find something for cheap and very it is good company like the bug ones you can get something but even that you get like 1/10 of the new price maybe sometime not even that. It all come down to pics, marketing etc but it is hard..Also the logistic how do you get all done when you have that much ...if you sell 40 package ...you will run alot :), thanks for the vids. You are very good at what you do so keep on the god work!

Hi! I’m new to your channel. I would love to know operational things, like: what type of eBay subscription do you recommend when first starting a store? Do you use a third party for shipping like stamps.com or do you use eBay? Where do you buy your packing materials? $2k week is awesome but a lot to ship out. So I’m curious how you handle the shipping. Especially for the clothing. If you’ve already made a video like this and wouldn’t mind posting the link that’d be cool, too! Thanks!!

Love your video. Easy to watch and I didn’t have to listen about your life, just a straightforward presentation. I liked no music! Question, I got a ton of clothing and stuff from my hoarder sister-in -law who died. She was a chain smoker so even packaged stuff has cigarette odor. I find if you leave clothing outside to air and/or spray it with straight vodka it does remove the stink but do you ever pre-wash clothing? I don’t want to wash the tagged stuff. I also find thrift shop stuff has mildewy smell which I hate. How do you deal with that? Just getting started on this venture and can use some clean up care instruction on all kinds of products. Do you have a video on prepping items? Thank you. NEW SUBSCRIBER

Hi Ashley, I love your videos and everything about the way you sell! I have two questions: First, I noticed you don't have "Pre-owned" or NWT in your listing titles. Is that intentional and do you find it better not to do that? Also, you mentioned something about looking at the inside tag to find a season or year. I'd like more info on that. Do you google something from the tag to find out? Thanks in advance and looking forward to watching more videos.

I sell a lot on Ebay and the shipping can be tricky. For shipments inside the U.S. there are different tiers based on weight. Anything under a pound (16 ounces) can be shipped using First Class mail which is pretty inexpensive and fast, usually between $3.50 and $5.50 depending on the exact ounces and how far the package has to travel.
From there the next tiers they are broken up for every pound. Anything over a pound has to ship using Priority Mail, it's more expensive but it's a very fast delivery time. You will have different prices based on items between 1 and 2 pounds, then 2 and 3 pounds, 3 and 4 pounds and so on. Each additional pound of weight bumps your package into a higher tier and is thus more expensive. I live in CA and to ship a 2 pound item to the East coast is about $11, a 3 pound item is about $15, a 4 pound item is closer to $18.
If you are shipping overseas there are 2 basic tiers, First Class International and Priority Mail International. Anything under 4 pounds can be shipped First Class International. Anything over 4 pounds has to ship Priority Mail International. International shipping is very expensive, it's a bit cheaper to Canada though versus say Germany or any other country.
Also you can get flat rate shipping boxes from the post office for free. I have hundreds of them in my office and the USPS will even deliver them to you for free. These flat rate boxes can sometimes be cheaper than using your own boxes. Flat rate boxes allow you to cram as much stuff in the box for one flat rate cost.

$2000 sales, net must be pretty close since a lot of items were a $1!!
Curious is you have an eBay store? Or sell as an individual? How do you typically ship?

Hiiiii! I just found you and I’m so glad! I was wondering..... Do you wash the clothing items before you sell them? Especially the ones that may smell like the Goodwill? I’m unsure sometimes wether or not to do that 🤔

One thing I immediately noticed with your store, is that your photos are amazing for an ebay reseller

@@HustleatHomeMom P.S. - I also hope that wasn't perceived by anyone the wrong way. I meant that many resellers are flipping quickly for profit and that is the goal of ROI on some level. You are actually staging and capturing pictures in a way that there's a feeling of the items being sold in a high end boutique. It's all very nice.
