Is it a must that the water temperature unit be on the side of the block or can it be at the front on the intake close to the water pump?

Hey. I can't find the connector on my harness for the oil pressure sender. You wouldn't happen to know what the connector looked like? It's from a GM vehicle, 1978 pontiac. I rebuilt the motor, and it seems as if I can't find the wire for it. I have the Temp sensor connected, but not the oil pressure.

I have a 1997 Chevy C1500 WT. I purchase the DP6007 kit which requires the oil pressure and water temperature sending units to be replaced. After replacing the oil pressure sending unit I encountered a no start problem. Later found out that the oil pressure sending unit energizes the fuel relay. What is the workaround for this issue?

@@ericdawson9104 I purchased the intellitronix GPS speedometer which requires no calibration, just connecting several wires. This was much easier to install and has better accuracy than using the OEM speedometer connection.

@@ericdawson9104 I installed the DP6007 kit which was pretty straight forward except for the installations of oil pressure and water temperature gauges. Instead of mounting them per the installation instructions, I mounted them in the extry oil and temperature ports on the bottom left of the engine block. Don't know what engine you have but I have the 4.3 six-cylinder.

Great video. I read somewhere that inside the orifice where you screw in the new sensor, there is a pin that inserts into the tine hole of the new sensor while you are screwing it in and that i should be careful not to damage that pin when you take off the old sensor. I am asking because I removed mine (C3 1978) and do not see any pin... Also, if there were a pin, how would the oil flow???
