Hello John, you are very welcome. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Your Intellitronix Team!
Is it a must that the water temperature unit be on the side of the block or can it be at the front on the intake close to the water pump?
He's funny..he looked like he felt stupid explaining something so simple..lol
Thanks very useful !
What about for big block ??
Hey. I can't find the connector on my harness for the oil pressure sender. You wouldn't happen to know what the connector looked like? It's from a GM vehicle, 1978 pontiac. I rebuilt the motor, and it seems as if I can't find the wire for it. I have the Temp sensor connected, but not the oil pressure.
Hello Gage, How are you? Did you get your issued solved? If not, send an email with your problem to our tech guy at support@intellitronix.com. You are very welcome!
perfect info, thanks
I have a 1997 Chevy C1500 WT. I purchase the DP6007 kit which requires the oil pressure and water temperature sending units to be replaced. After replacing the oil pressure sending unit I encountered a no start problem. Later found out that the oil pressure sending unit energizes the fuel relay. What is the workaround for this issue?
Was it easy putting the intellitronix speedometer in?
@@ericdawson9104 I purchased the intellitronix GPS speedometer which requires no calibration, just connecting several wires. This was much easier to install and has better accuracy than using the OEM speedometer connection.
Okay because I purchased the intellitronix speedometer DP6005and just wondering.
@@ericdawson9104 I installed the DP6007 kit which was pretty straight forward except for the installations of oil pressure and water temperature gauges. Instead of mounting them per the installation instructions, I mounted them in the extry oil and temperature ports on the bottom left of the engine block. Don't know what engine you have but I have the 4.3 six-cylinder.
I have a 5.7 v8.
Great video. I read somewhere that inside the orifice where you screw in the new sensor, there is a pin that inserts into the tine hole of the new sensor while you are screwing it in and that i should be careful not to damage that pin when you take off the old sensor. I am asking because I removed mine (C3 1978) and do not see any pin... Also, if there were a pin, how would the oil flow???

Soo, where do I connect the speed sending unit?
how do you put the wires in the oil pressure sending unit i have the two port unit
One post has a S = signal wire, other has a G = ground, run to engine block
@@shawnslenski3013 No what i mean is the two wire ports screw off do you stick the wires through them or take the ports off rap the wires around them and screw it back on? i never seen ports on a sending unit like that. thats why I am asking
how do I connect the oil pressure sending unit to the gauge cluster?
You screw it. Real good.
Hello Marcus, You can download the Installation Guide for your vehicle and it should explain how to connect the sending unit to the gauge cluster. Let us if you need additional help by emailing support@intellitronix.com Your Intellitronix Team!
