Taylor's songs make for great covers because she's such a disciplined songwriter; her structures are always tight as a drum. I can think of maybe one song in her catalog where the meter goes bad. (Contrastingly, another great storyteller, Bruce Springsteen, seems sometimes to just be stuck for an ending…check out the last few lines of "Born to Run", for example.) So you put some serious wind into those well-built sails and yeah, it moves like a rocket ship.
And I agree, part of her really wants to make a rock album (there are good country-rock tunes on "Speak Now" and "RED"), but she's seduced by the pop tricks (and chart success) of Max Martin at the moment. Maybe next time.

Before today I hadn't subscribed but every time I got on UA-cam I would search "Fame on fire" for a new cover since 'Unconditionally' i love that y'all brought the screams back they're the main reason i love you guys! Also, Breakdowns were and still are always the best!

Fame on Fire is simply amazing! Every song they release on UA-cam, I'm constantly on the lookout for on iTunes, so I can download it, and put it in my FOF playlist. I can't wait to put this one in the playlist and cruise.
