this mf turned what could have been a 10 second short into a whole ass minute. for those who dont want to wait til the end, he says its pronounced like La Crosse
Even la-croy sounds like a terrible pronunciation. I thought it was la-cwah. But I’m an Englishman living in Australia who only speaks one language. So what do I know?
La Croix does mean the cross . It's my family name and it's properly said la krwa. The only people who la Croy are ignorant Anglophones who refuse to acknowledge 41% of English words have French Latin romantic origins.
Once had a Lady come into the Restaurant and teach me how to properly pronounce it. I cant remember it now, but In sure it sounded like a Duck. “LeQua” or something.
The problem is everyone’s pronouncing the brand name wrong: LaCroix is pronounced "la-croy" not "la kwah" or "la krah," like the French might say it. The company even explains on its website that the name is pronounced "la-croy," and helpfully mentions that it "rhymes with enjoy"
The amount of people taking this seriously is hysterical 🤣

More than the people calling it la croy
There's literally a river alongside the town called the La Croix
This comment is as wrong as the video
St. Croix but, yeah.
It’s the Mississippi and Black River that boarder La Crosse. I live here and never knew the drink originated from this city. We all just say “La Croy”
@@grantsypants4743 th st croix empties into the Mississippi about 100 miles upstream
Then a guy like me who has that as a family name stares you down sternly. That's not how you say my name. La krwa say it properly.@@robertpiper6860
Guys, guess what! It's a fuckin joke!!
Is it? Is it really?
@kylebroflovsky6015 no, I lied.
@@_lorenstephens_ Did you? Really?
I get this is satire but uh it isn’t “la croy” in French. It’s more like “la cwaw”
The R is pronounced at the back of the mouth though, not like a w. Just leaving this here for people who want to pronounce it the right way

Dangerous levels of confidence haha
The next stage of the LaCrosse cinematic universe.

So spell it le cross
I prefer to call it La Crocs
I love spreading misinformation on the internet

I pronounce it La Crocs
You named a drink after a slightly shit sport?
lol- x= s sound! Sure Jan 😆
It’s literally pronounced as la croix, croix rhyming with boy. Croix is the French word for cross, “croy” is the anglicized pronunciation
I don't trust people who over use "literally". You're one of them.
woosh
Bro didn't get the joke, and is still pronouncing it wrong
Then why give it a french name..
Once had a Lady come into the Restaurant and teach me how to properly pronounce it. I cant remember it now, but In sure it sounded like a Duck. “LeQua” or something.
We have the exact same name
I call it la cr oi s 😂😂
la croy is not french...
i've been saying it wrong for so long... also, i love your products so much, and i would like to review every la croix. I will review every la croix.
Hey dude are you a real estate agent because I think you are selling a house by my highschool.
Seriously someone fact check this. I played lacrosse in high school and I doubt this is pronounced the same.
Imma get a croysant latter, with that "original French pronunciation"
There are several towns in Wisconsin with French names though.
Funny how he says that la croy is the French pronunciation😂

I agree. Plus, and the French would say Le Croix. Not La Croy (Anglicized pronunciation/ correct way to pronounce it) or La Cross either.
Then spell it "la crosse" ! Or shut up
I call it “ La Craw “
