HVACR: "Megger" Insulation Test For 3 Phase Compressor (Motor Windings Insulation Test) SUPCO M500

Today we will be performing an insulation test (Meg a Motor/Megging a Motor/Megger a Motor) for a 3 phase air conditioner TRANE compressor using the Supco M500 megohmmeter. We are looking for 100 megohms and greater according to this meter as well as a general rule of thumb to diagnose the motor as good. We are checking the insulation surrounding the motor windings.
