To God be the glory both now n forever. Even though i don’t understand His ways I will trust in Him. Its not always easy since I am only human and to dust I will become. Lord Jesus help me and bless me with your spirit of wisdom so that I may see life through your eyes.
Dear Max, I have been listening to you for over 2 years now. Your gentleness, sense of humour and sincerity, has brought me much comfort and I thank you. Now I need help. I am the middle one of 3 sisters, all in our 70', the youngest one had Stage 4 cancer, brought on by smoking. The oldest one had problems to breath and has heart problems, and shows definite narcissistic tendencies. I have had a TIA and spent a week in ICU for Pulmonary embolisms.I am now finding myself excluded from speaking to my youngest sister. It's breaking my heart, but it's a long story. So we all need prayers, me just to be able to speak to my dying sister. We are all so far apart. I pray for you Max, I know you have health problems. God bless you and your family and congregations.
I’ve been reading Max Lucado books nearly my whole life. They are all excellent , this one might be your best sir. Thank you so much for sharing your gift with the world.
Thank you for your teaching. What are your thoughts on the lies Abraham told Pharoah about his wife Sarai? And Abraham having a child with Hagar?? Instead of him trusting God for the promised son. ?? Thank you for your wonderful sermons.
As long as we have breath in our bodies, we have a chance to repent and turn to God. If we meet Eternity and have not put our faith in God and accepted salvation through the blood of His Son, then it's too late. Whatever happens in between, even a life of habitual sin, God will forgive IF (before we physically die) we repent, confess our sins and ask God to forgive us and save us. Romans 3:23-24 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus." He gives us the choice whether or not to choose Him.
For those who question the title of the book: I can understand. God never gives up on us because He is our Heavenly Father who loves us to the point to sent his only begotten Son to save us (John 3,16). It is not that w will be saved when we consciously sin because we want to and to purposely hurt God through it, rejecting His love. God lives us so much that He hopes we will one day come back to Him with all of our being, like the Prodigal Son. Jesus shared so many parables about God merciful and infinitive love! Just read the whole book of Luke! ❤
Forgive the obvious but human history is chock full of people that God turned His back on, including millions who lived long before the bible was written. Any explanation?
He "never gives up on you"? In other words, no matter how much we sin? The reason I say this, is because that is a dangerous statement to make, as it insinuates that a person can sin as much as they want, and yet "God will never give up on them," despite their refusal to give up their sin, which would be complete apostasy to preach that. Whether Mr. Lucado infers that or not (all due respect) what does the Bible actually say? Here’s God talking to His own church: "I hated them: for the wickedness of their deeds, I will drive them out of My house [the church], I will love them no more" (Hos. 9:15). And yet He doesn't give up on them? That doesn't make sense. My friends, you must realize that those are His people in His church, whom He loved at one time, but no longer! Like Him or not, that’s who God is and we’d better not judge Him for it, but fear Him and obey Him. Find out what JESUS CHRIST requires for salvation and do it; and don't believe everything you hear from men. Don't even believe me. Look it up.

He doesn't give up on him, but if we continue to live in sin knowing ot hurts him then we have already given up on him
Are you sure?
God never gives up on you? Really? What about Pharoah? what about the Northern Kingdom of Israel? You are teaching falsely!
Max is a phony sell-out. No more Max-anything for me.
