My through-the-years tribute to my all-time favorite artist, legendary, Robin Gibb, with his latest release, "Don't Cry Alone." This beautiful song is the only track performed by Robin on his new CD entitled "The Titanic Requiem" which he and son, RJ composed to commemorate the centennial of the Titanic tragedy.
"The Titanic Requiem" Robin's first classical production, as well as his first collaborative effort with his son, RJ was composed during an immensely traumatic time for both father and son. A one-of-a-kind CD destined for the Collector's Shelf. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra performs on all tracks of "The Titanic Requiem" with vocals by choir and others.
The world premiere concert of Robin and RJ's "The Titanic Requiem" will go down in history on April 10, 2012 in the Great Hall of Central Hall Westminster in London. Performed in its entirety by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with special guests and of course, Mr. Wonderful, Robin Gibb.
An enchanted evening for all fortunate enough to be there.

Each of the BeeGees was his own man with unique strengths even as, together, they lit up everything around them. What a gift. Rest in peace, Mr. Gibb. You are remembered and missed, and many of us look forward to "meeting" you one day.

Hard to imagine that its been 10 years since he sang this song and it still touches our hearts such beautiful song we may miss him but his songs won't because we can still listen to them now thank God for letting these guys sing so well for a long time... May we keep on listening to their music

I can never hear this song that I don't imagine that Robin is singing it to Maurice. He loves his twin brother so much and he will sweep away all his pain and sorrow. I think of them being infants... and that Robin will be there for Mo forever, he will sweep away his tears and sorrow. I can't imagine a deeper connection. It is a beautiful image. I think of my twins who had that same connection.

This is beautiful. Thank you for posting. Always had the utmost respect for Robin. He's always been his own person. A forceful personality, but not dominate, he didn't try to dominate anyone, but he would not be dominated. A truly unique soul, it showed through the passion when he sang, and the melancholy persona he had on stage. Through his songs were a window to his soul. Barry may have been known as the leader however only Robin had the ability to make grown men cry with his vocals.

So well put, they all made me feel like I was their closest friend because they knew how to grasp and articulate a very deep version of the human experience, and put sounds to it. The falsetto reminds me of the agony and ecstasy of being human with all its shreiks of pain and wonderful surprise.

Awesome recording of a most beautiful song. Robin Gibb had such talent and an incredible vocal range plus the ability to write quality songs...as this one is. He was also a very humble man....one of the good guys in the music business. I listen to this record often and reflect on what life means to me now. Don't Cry Alone....Thank You for your music Robin.
