First, I will start by saying great video Bill. Then I will say I'm disappointed I didn't get to see you both. Then I will talk about the Grand Strand issue. I have been in SC since '95. They have the state divided into "sections". The stretches of beaches are called the Grand Strand, then you have a section that is called Low Country (south and a little inland from Myrtle Beach), then their is a section called The Midlands (Columbia and surrounding area), then you have the Piedmont (around Greenville) and then you have the Pee Dee (area around Darlington and Florence - where you will find me.) lol. It's a mess. The one day trip we made to the beach we ate at Drunken Jack's in Murrell's Inlet. Awesome food along with an awesome view. Looking forward to your next few videos. And, by the way, I am glad you enjoyed your trip. That area is really beautiful. Take care and God Bless!❤
As a frequent visitor to Myrtle Beach, here’s what I recommend: 1. Myrtle Beach Boardwalk: -Gay Dolphin -Skywheel (AMAZING views of the Atlantic Ocean) 2. Pirate’s Voyage Dinner and Show 3. Broadway at the Beach 4. Barefoot Landing 5. Tanger Outlets Hwy 17 6. Tanger Outlets Hwy 501 7. Preston’s Seafood and Country Buffet 8. The Carolina Opry 9. Coastal Grand Mall 10. Hard Rock Cafe
Outstanding Video! I may be able to shed a little light on the "Grand Strand" title. The Grand Strand refers to the 60 miles of beach and ennentially is a common name for the Myrtle Beach MSA used for advertising the entire metro area. Myrtle Beach is a city that is a part of The Grand Strand. Also if anyone is interested in Murrells Inlet, the area that was featured of resturants in this video is called the Marsh Walk. Outstanding experience and highly recommend for anyone visiting (or local...we go here often) Murrells Inlet has 50+ resturants though and most are very good!
I was just making fun of myself for not having heard it called "The Grand Strand." I lived in Batesburg when I was about 5. We were at Myrtle all the time, and for years after too. But for whatever reason, I'd never heard it called "The Grand Strand." Just goes to show you learn something every day. Thanks for watching and thanks for commenting!
Myrtle Beach has more of that Florida feel than Virginia Beach. The water is alot warmer than Virginia Beach.I was surprised though that Virginia Beach had Palm trees there, probably the northern limit.Regardless,I love both beaches which were very popular when I grew up in West Virginia.

Garry you're so incredibly nice and I'm truly grateful!
Fun times!
Looks like a good time, Mr Bill. The weather looked perfect.
I don't think I've ever been to the beach when it's been that perfect. It's always real hot, or up here, real cold.
I've been to the Va. beach but not Myrtle beach. Looks really nice, have a nice day everyone !

Grand Strand refers to the area of the coast from Little River down to Pawleys Island.
