I'll give it this, that is a 100% comic accurate ending for She-Hulk. She did this a lot in the comics. This one feels like an homage to the 2005 comic which was so choppy and confusing because of multi comic stories. Jen got so mad that things stopped making sense that she busts into the Marvel writers room and vents her anger to the terrified writers.
She straight up threw head writer John Byrne out the window in his last comic 😂
John Byrne first did this in 1983 when he was writing Fantastic Four and the Thing comics. An issue of The Thing starts out as usual then becomes increasingly ridiculous and bad until it cuts to the Thing reading the comic, throwing it away and charging across town to the Marvel offices and beating the hell out of John Byrne for defaming him. Shortly afterwards Byrne had The Thing leave the FF and replaced him with She-Hulk, starting his long run as her writer, so this was a doubly cool double call-back!
It's very Mel Brooks a la Blazing Saddles, and it never stops being funny no matter how many times it's done 😂
@@JBWinter It certainly is and it certainly doesn't!
yup, this!!!
I'm pretty sure Emil was unaware of what this "speaking engagement" was. Todd rented the space and hired him, but his speech was very cookie-cutter motivational speaker. His comment to Bruce was "this isn't what it looks like." And he protected Jen from Todd.
Really liked the way they handled the 4th wall ending.
I totally get that. It wasn’t super obvious that he didn’t know what was going on. But once he started talking about men finding their motivation, I was like “I don’t think he knows what’s going on“.
You are correct. He had no idea they were Intellegencia.
@@funnylilgalreacts Also, I think the fact that when he noticed Jen, he didn't do a villainous turn and that he was protecting her in the fight suggests to me he wasn't in on it, he's just a motivational speaker for hire (a different kind of evil lol)
I kinda want that and the men that were in his retreat to be genuinely reformed to show that people can change and improve from having previously problematic outlooks. It's always good to have hope.
@@TriforceOfCaz
It goes to show Emil is just like REAL LIFE “motivational speakers”
Even if YOU mean well. You could be “motivating” random individuals to believe they are capable of anything
He was trying to be a positive and not fully grasping what was going on and protected her when he saw the danger
I thought this show was criminally underrated. The CGI took a bit to get used to, but the humor was amazing. The 4th wall break puts Deadpool to shame, and the story/pacing was flawless. I wish the internet idiots weren't as loud as they were. She Hulk deserves a second season.
Loved the throwback to the old Hulk series and the 4th wall break (particularly the way that K.E.V.I.N. was made to look like it was wearing one of Feige’s baseball caps). Also Pug trying to act like a garbage person with Nikki coaching him was kind of adorable.
As a lifelong Marvel reader, I loved this show. She-Hulk was the original fourth wall breaker. The original run of She-Hulk was very tongue in cheek, and had an issue where She-Hulk broke out of the book and accosted the writers. Thanks for reacting to this series! XO
The opening throwback parody of the old Incredible Hulk show was awesome Lol. I really enjoyed this show, Looking forward to a second season!
Loved your reactions to this show - taking it for what it is; a fun, inventive take on real issues . The show didn't take itself too seriously whilst tackling serious sh*t.
Fun fact the Farigno She-Hulk was Malia Arrayah. She is also the onset She-Hulk reference standing at 6’5”, needing only a small muscle suit to Hulk out. She does have some behind the scenes photos on her social media. It’s actually nice that they are using an actual person and not relying on a stilted person or a tall man as the reference.
I thought it was played by actor Devon Lewis. I looked him up and saw him in full makeup and everything.
The fourth wall break in this was a nice way of adapting the times in her comic when she would directly interact with the writer and editor or would rip her way through the page or take shortcuts across panels.
love the call back to the OG Hulk tv series and the 4th wall breaks, awesome review
I'm newly addicted to your reactions because you're covering so much scifi and comics stuff. And I LOVE that you knew the old Hulk tv show reference! You have a fan.
This episode went so off the rails, what a perfect finale for she hulk! LOVED when she crawled out of the Disney+ menu. So meta and funny!!
In the comics, She-Hulk is a member of The Avengers, and also a member of The Fantastic Four. So, she has things lined up for her.
Such a creative ending to the season! Loved the throwback, the meta-ness, more Matt. So good.
Thanks for always providing entertaining and interesting reactions and commentary!
Amazing show and I'm always disappointed that it wasn't more well received. I would have watched 100 seasons of this!
I love Pug! So glad to see Nikki and Pug team up one more time.
Loved watching this series with you, Angela! Your hair, make up, cozy sweater, everything looks great, and I really appreciate all the care, thought and work you put in your videos.
Really hoping to be here for future seasons!
Ive found your channel through this show. I've always loved She-Hulk from the comics, and this show is fantastic. Tatiana Maslany is amazing as Jen. I hope we get a second season, and most importantly I just want to see her again in future projects. Loved all your reactions.
Thanks Bob!
The 70's style She-Hulk from that intro was probably played by her real life stunt-double and mo-cap person - who's a real life 6'5 tall lady ( I believe she's a basketball player) that stands in for all her she-hulk scenes.
No her stand in is pretty slim they used a tall body-builder whose name escapes me but it's available online. Ironically her stand in is actually quite a bit taller than him too, she posted a picture of the two of them on Twitter. :-)
@@LuckDragonLair You are correct. Devon Lewis was the bodybuilder that played She-Ferrigno.
The video of Jen in college is actually from orphan black. I’d love to see you do that show too. Tatiana Maslany deserved all the recognition she got for that show.
I knew this would be good from the initial howls of fanbro outrage on Twitter, and it did not disappoint.
I love that this show keeps taking shots at those losers but they haven't learned a thing lol
35 rating on Rotten Tomatoes and 5 on IMDB. This show is garbage and the world agrees. They won't make another season
@@shonuff4323 We get it. You don't like women. Yawn.
@@shonuff4323 we do indeed get a second season. 😹
@@shonuff4323 yeah cuz Rotten tomatoes is the be all end all to the subjective arguments for movies, fuck off nerd. this was the series we wanted cuz REAL marvel fans read the shit out of those comics and loved em. then we got the MOST faithful interpretation of a super tongue in cheek, wall breaking before deadpool made it cool for edgelords and 9yo boys, writer threatening Jen Walters! sorry youre not a real fan.
"And when are we getting the X-Men?" 👍😉
I love Jen LOL
Jen asking the REAL questions, being on the audience's side! I loved it so much, AND her thumb's-up to us after, fantastic.
Jen's one of us :)
I grew up watching The Incredible Hulk and WOW big hit in the nostalgia feels.
Love this show so much.
Emil wasnt involved at all he was hired to give a motivational speech to a group. He had no idea who the group was or what they had done
That was obvious when he walked in there and started giving the speech but at first that was not the most obvious thing
Yeah, Emil was in the wrong for violating his parole and not adequately researching prospective clients before accepting a job, but not for supporting the bad guys. As soon as things went down, he was trying to protect Jen.
He’s greedy and willfully ignorant, and makes poor decisions, but he’s not a “bad guy.”
That’s why I said mildly reformed. He knew he was breaking the law by breaking parole. But I don’t think he had bad intentions by in.
@@SomeGuys31415 but that’s kinda the meta argument for motivational speakers like this in real life, isn’t it? How culpable are they for emboldening bad faith actors, whether they “researched” beforehand or not? It seemed like that scene was kinda meant to open up that question a bit.
@@cdubbart 100%
SO GOOD!!!!!! (both the episode and the reaction, thanks!)
"I hate this...I love this." This was a polarizing finale. Personally, I loved it.
I won't lie it always tickles me when a franchise takes a sharp turn to something completely off the wall that I know some people will hate :P
You're the reason I've been watching The Expanse, and I also gotta catch up on this show, but I just had to drop in real quick to say that your hair is GORGEOUS! I love that style on you! Lol... sorry, I usually hate leaving comments like that, but I couldn't help it this time. Alright, back to binge-watching this show so I can actually watch these reactions. :P
Thank you! For the hair compliment and the reaction compliment!
I loved the reaction, I also loved that K.E.V.I.N. was stylized to look like he was wearing Feige's signature ball cap. I think that the biggest thing that was established here was overlooked by a LOT of people. It was firmly established that her 4th wall breaks are not a narrative tool, they're one of her super powers. This may make her the most powerful hero in the MCU.
Not sure if I’ve commented before here but absolutely love your reviews! I enjoy the way you see the intended and hidden jokes and meanings, especially in this series. I have been a huge fan of She-Hulk since the comics and really enjoyed this and your reactions as it went on. Have to say your hair in this video, absolutely fabulous! Hope you continue this for a long time.
That...was...brilliant. Bringing back the '70s Hulk series opening like that made me giddy as hell.
This was absolutely my favorite episode. Shout-out to Orphan Black (Cosima!) easter egg in the college video! I also felt like Tat's acting skills were *finally* allowed to really be on display - the CGI team had more time to capture Tat's facial expressions as She-Hulk AND we got to spend more time with Jen Walters herself.
Structurally, it definitely went from a She-Hulk show to Marvel show to FOURTH WALL BREAK -- RETURN TO SHE-HULK!!!
I thought it looked like Cosima but I didn't want to say it and be wrong!
I was wondering who this show was for; Now I know, it's this wonderful community.
I have just watched the final episode!
It was amazing!
It's been nice following you through all these reactions!
Caiera is Skaar's mother, she is from Sakaar.
Mad and Jen's children: "blind hulk smashes the wrong people"...
Hulk had "needs". lol
I loved the ending and I really enjoyed this series. She-Hulk has been one of my favorite characters for a long time and I hope we get a season 2. It was a lot of fun watching the series, Wednesdays and Thursdays were my big tv night. I would watch Stargirl on CW and after midnight I would watch She-Hulk on Disney +.
The only sad part is now I have nothing to watch after midnight. Thank you so much for your reactions & insights.
I want more of this show!!!!!!!!
I only knew She-Hulk from the 90s cartoon show, so I wasn't quite expecting this. I haven't seen a forth wall break like this since Blazing Saddles.
I said the same thing while watching this! 😂
Or Monty Python and the Holy Grail's Literal Cop Out ending 😂 it's always such a good gag
@@JBWinter That's true.
1) the trolling of dude bros and their super predictable behavior was on point
2) the Mel Brooks / Blazing saddles type studio visit about the plot.. awesome
3) throwback to the original Hulk series was top tier
Re: #2 - My mind went to THE OA but since only, like, 15 people watched that show, BLAZING SADDLES is probably a better reference.
Thanks for reminding me to finish the OA
Hulk picking up his son. Planet Hulk confirmed!
There’s going to be a film based off Hulk on Sakaar that’s what Jen was talking about when she said the film will explain his absence.
The brim over the lens looks like the baseball cap Kevin F always wears.
FUN FACT - the person who played the Marvel Studios receptionist who had Jen sign the NDA before meeting K.E.V.I.N. was in fact, at the time the episode was filmed, the Marvel Studios receptionist whose job was to have all guests sign the company NDA before entering the offices. And the writer's room scene featured the showrunner and the show's actual writers.
When the ending 4th wal break started you said "I hate this..I hate this so much".....then it was all "I love this so much" :)
Awww I loved 70s Hulk. I was just a tiny child but it was fun. The music at the end was sad though each time.
18:50 Literally had to pause the episode because I couldn't stop laughing for a good 10-15 seconds.
Just a thought on the size of Skaar. If you remember from Thor: Ragnorock, "time works differently on Sakaar." Loki fell out of the bifrost seconds before Thor. But when they meet Loki stuff he been there 2 weeks.
Now Hulk has been there for 2 years Earth time. Who knows how long he was really there.
Fun end, to a fun season , of a fun show.
A very bold move from marvel, it's very polarizing final episode. But as the title says, this is She-Hulk show, a very awesome meta play thing to do on this series super mega break the 4th wall. I bet many people would rant(really piss-off) and others would enjoy this. Haha this is a great ending, to be honest, a very She-Hulk thing do. I am sorry some people did not get it. Anyway at least we enjoy it so much. They did not break the 4th wall here, they pulverized it hahaha
it really urks me when they use her anger against her just because she's a hulk when its completely intelligencia's fault for instigating that rage on to she-hulk.
Blazing saddles fourth wall break! Awesome!
I really love this episode, the way Jeniffer break the 4 wall was awason. I really enjoy this show. Greetings from Brazil
Have you given up on Andor? Show is incredible and episode 6 was superb.
Nevermind the reaction- which was *awesome*- I really, really enjoyed your pre and post episode commentary. You speaking from the heart in that fashion was interesting, moving, and completely unique. Loved it, all of it.
As a kid, I tuned in every week to the original Hulk series, so that homage to the old TV show opening credits made me giddy.
Jennifer and Matt together is a straight up the MCU next power couple. Plus I want Matt to be happy finally!
This was the most outright ENTERTAINED I have been by a Marvel production since _Thor 3_ or _Guardians of the Galaxy,_ or, possibly, _Iron Man._ I am a fond skeptic of a lot of how the MCU works and while I love some of the drama and the characters and the spectacle, wading through the big showdowns becomes increasingly a slog. Just flat out breaking the wall blew my mind haha.
Also Tatiana Maslany is just amazing, so hard not to love this start to finish. (Even if Daredevil is horrifically overrated, and it will be a tragedy that this show is probably cancelled after 1 season but is now a party to the other one getting resurrected for I would guess 2-3 seasons or even more...)
Jen & Matt makes me happy, great episode and first season, hope for many more, it’s the type show they could do 10 seasons with, how will Deadpool handle getting out fourth walled by Jen/She-Hulk, how Will she then out do him again…no doubt she’ll show up in DP3, and him in She-Hulk S2….what fun this show is
1, if theres a season 2, jenn should come back and meet Tatiana.
2, we shouldve gotten a post credit scene of Hulk checking Pug's embarassing voicemails.
@ 16:42 I made the same face when I heard the Black Panther score🔥🔥
I think Jen should, while going after Todd for the maximum legally allowable in court, should definitely make him surrender the spear as part of the terms, so she can immediately give it back to the Wakandans.
Regarding Bruce and Natasha, SHE was saying she is no longer capable of having a child...Bruce wasn't saying he can't have or father a child, he was saying essentially that he is a monster and can't let himself love and be happy (though thankfully it seems he has gotten a somewhat better outlook there..)
Hulk had "needs" while he was in Sakaar for 2 years. Also Bruce Banner and Betty Ross would make sense.
A reminder that time is different in Sakaar so that’s why Skaar is not 8 years old and is much more older
I was hoping madisynn would randomly stroll through at the end to complete the random madness 😂
“Wongerzzzzz”
Absolutely. I thought she was a throw away initially but her as Wongs friend is awesome
The distinction from the comics is that the Hulk had a son not Bruce . Bruce couldn't remember anything after Infinity War until Thor was bringing him back , Hulk also thought his wife and son had died. When Jen mentions saving it for the movie and K.E.V.I.N. says she won't be on the big screen it's meant to announce the Hulk is getting a stand alone movie not her. I hope she stays on the west coast and meets people like Ant-Man's cast. My dream scene would be Nikki and Luis together for comedy gold.
I don't get people's complaints about this show, it was alot of fun
u can actually see the SIDEBURNS on the guy playing Jen wearing the GALA dress, in that cool opening.
LOL
Right?! It was hilarious
Hey, Angela! The meta ending to beat all meta endings!
If nothing else, the series understood the fourth wall concept from the comics, employed it well throughout and took it to the next level for the finale!
Having Shulkie burst through the screen, traipse through the Disney lot past statues of Walt and Mickey, harangue the writers' room and confront her creator all the while acknowledging that she's a fictional creation is CLASSIC JOHN BYRNE!
Shulkie knew she was a figment of someone's imagination, would burst through the pages and challenge the decisions of her author. Since she was illustrated as a sultry glamazon to titillate the male readership, her gripes were about exploitation and integrity if she wasn't taking issue with the comic book tropes and drivel that served as plots. It was a brilliant way to lampoon sexism by being insanely sexy or to tackle existentialism with a feather-light touch! "Sensational She-Hulk" was a ground-breaking comic and Shulkie was beloved by her largely male readership.
EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS:
-- the voiceover intro in the style of the long-running "The Incredible Hulk" TV show with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno from the late '70's-early '80's.
-- the hyper-jacked female bodybuilder stand-in for Ferrigno evoking her first comic series "Savage She-Hulk".
-- K.E.V.I.N.'s brim looking like a Feige baseball cap.
-- signing the NDA just to get past the lobby.
-- a couple of Wakandan chords to indicate the new project the effects team has moved on to.
-- having Jen transform off-camera for budgetary reasons.
-- saving the details of Bruce's adventure for the movie.
-- bringing up the X-Men.
-- "smashing" Matt Murdock.
-- superhero daddy issues.
-- critiquing the MCU formula.
-- Wong being booked on another show in the era of PeakTV.
-- Daredevil dropping in deus ex machina-style.
-- Jen's dad hosing down the rabid reporters with "water pressure for days!".
-- first glimpse of Skaar.
SERIES HIGHLIGHTS:
-- Bruce episode
-- Daredevil episode
-- MADISYNN episode (this lady needs to become an MCU fixture!)
SERIES LOWLIGHTS:
-- The brilliant meta-ending IRONICALLY VINDICATED all the male hate-watchers they spent the first half of the episode bashing at the Intelligencia gathering because the showrunner ADMITTED the series was written by CLUELESS HACKS at the behest of a SOULESS CORPORATE MACHINE using an ALGORITHM and they could only SAVE FACE by JOKING ABOUT IT!
-- Everything in the series is rendered moot because it can be disavowed on a whim which might actually help salvage some ill-used characters.
-- TITANIA, WRECKER, THUNDERBALL, PILEDRIVER, BULLDOZER, MR. IMMORTAL, ABOMINATION and even LEAP-FROG were done irreparable damage unless this show doesn't really count.
-- INTELLIGENCIA as a threat got THE MANDARIN TREATMENT.
-- Augustus "Pug" Pugliese was wasted. His unrequited love for Jennifer as Jennifer Walters was never explored.
-- Mallory Book was wasted as a potential antagonist.
-- The FUNDAMENTAL MISCONCEPTION of the show was making Jennifer Walters the star! Shulkie is the star! Jen LOVES being She-Hulk and never looks back. They made Jen confident and exuberant while making She-Hulk an awkward nuisance. The focus of the show was getting people to accept and love her as Jennifer as well as getting Jennifer to accept herself as She-Hulk. In the comics, Jen finds the physicality and sensuality of She-Hulk to be incredibly LIBERATING. She was an inhibited introvert as Jennifer.
CASE IN POINT FROM THE COMICS:
She-Hulk is exposed to a massive dose of radiation. Upon examination, Mr. Fantastic sorrowfully informs her she will be locked into her Hulk form forever and can never revert back to Jennifer Walters. Mr. Fantastic is sensitive to this issue because his friend Ben Grimm, the rock-man known as The Thing, can never revert back to his human state which causes him no end of anguish. Jen hears the prognosis, waits a beat and says, "What's the bad news?". Lol. Being Shulkie is what she lives for!
This finale showed why She-Hulk is the master of fourth wall breaking.
I think they hit upon the red hulk in the last episode, only not the way people are thinking, after she smashed the screens and the alarms are going off she flips back and forth in the lighting as being green and being red, I know it's not Red Hulk from the comics but she did look like Red Hulk in the right lighting
I absolutely loved the amount of meta trolling in this episode!
And the hurt dude bros keep coming back for more. They’ve gotten all the way to the finale and they’re still trying to convince people that the show isn’t good. 😂😂
Just trolling their own hate watchers, and it was amazing!
I love the fact that the writers, aka KEVIN, knew how much hate this show would get. As the show was written & filmed well before it aired.
In addition to K.E.V.I.N.'s "cap", he held his arms and moved them when he spoke in a very Kevin Feigie way.
Oh, and I hope you are going to do a reaction to Werewolf By Night. I loved it.
Werewolf by Night will be out tomorrow 🤩
@@funnylilgalreacts Excellent news, thank you!
It's too bad the subtitles tipped off the K.E.V.I.N. joke. I know this show isn't driven by plot, but it seemed odd Jen didn't even think to look into Josh in tracking down Intelligencia. I know Jen wanted to take down Todd with the law, but I was hoping that serum would've just exploded him. (or maybe turn him into a literal troll)
I like a lot of what this show did - it really took advantage of being an MCU comedy. I'm down for season 2! (as long as it's not a protracted dream sequence)
Missed opportunity not making him a troll! Brilliant idea! Also, the whole dream sequence for season two I am not down with either lol
She was being a regular woman… Do you think regular women are stupid because they want a guy they like to text them back? I think maybe you missed the point. Jenn is just like everyone else, but she has the ability to Hulk out. She’s not stupid, she’s just real. This thing that men are doing how they expect her to be perfect is exactly real life. Dudes expect women to do exactly what they want them to do, which is not be too much of this and too much of that but perfect.
@@funnylilgalreacts But not *too* perfect, or they get labelled a "Mary Sue" because the writers gave them unearned competence.
Drive-by: in light of certain current events, isn’t the TIMING of this episode *delicious*?
Last week left me thirsty for the blood of incels and this week delivered a coup de grace of reverse trollery, a master stroke of meta commentary. Thank you, Marvel!
I can’t express CHEFS KISS any bigger, louder and physically but if I could I would from space . I loved it!
Had to laugh at "I hate this. I hate this so much." Ten seconds later: "I love this!"
I was like “make it stop! I want more!”
@@funnylilgalreacts It was a fun twist on "deus ex machina."
@@alphanerd7221 "Deus ex machina" is an ancient theater trope, and means "god from the machine." In this show, he was named "K.E.V.I.N." I did indeed think that was a fun twist.
My favourite Marvel show since WandaVision (supplanting Hawkeye).
The Extreme Fourth-Walls Breaks in this episode were superb. 👍🤘🤣
Just putting it out there I’m a guy saying this.
It really irritates me that whenever a woman criticizes the status quo, it’s said that she “hates men”. 🙄
Yeah, we’re used to it. We are either being too challenging or bitchy, I hit it with a “whatever” and move on. I adore men. Whiney dude bros, not so much.
It’s probably cause it’s not legitimate
The way you said “smart” at 9:20 sounded so Irish 😂
Omg it totally does 😂
11:48 I'm almost sure that weird dance/jump came from a corporate presentation. I want to say it was for Microsoft, but I'm not sure
In addition to Banners and Walters, three established Marvel Comics characters have received their own Hulk forms. Over the years, General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, Betty Ross, and Amadeus Cho all became Red Hulk, Red She-Hulk, and the Totally Awesome Hulk respectively. Also deserving mentions are Weapon H (a Wolverine-Hulk hybrid) and Skaar, the son of the Hulk and an alien priestess you get introduced to here.
I knew there was a reason I stopped collecting Marvel.
There's also Doc Samson and Rick Jones/A-Bomb.
I almost slept on this show because I am not really a bit Marvel fan but I am glad I chose to watch it because I loved it. And I've enjoyed your reactions and commentary. Manbabies can sulk all they want - not everything is for them. My only gripe is the captions kind of spoiled the K.E.V.I.N. thing by revealing it as an acronym.
I thought this was brilliantly conceived. They swung for the fences and it paid off.
Hopefully Jen and Matt can be a thing in some form. Given Daredevil's reputation, however, that is treading in dangerous waters. But hey, fingers crossed.
Daredevil isn't always dark thats just the stories Netflix used. I expected the new show to be more balanced. Yah She-Hulk is fun and a nice break from all the darker shows out.
I think She Hulk Will be in marvel phase 5 as member of the Thunderbolts (as in thunderbolt Ross, Red hulk, I think that's where that lady Valentina comes in).
Perfect summation... Couldn't agree more
The Wakanda drums when K.E.V.I.N was talking!
Girl you don't eat dinner with the whole family of a one-night stand. They're 10,000% a couple.
I just realized Emil doesn't have Wifi at his retreat because his inhibitor uses wifi to communicate his status.
Nikki: "And remember to always refer to women as females."
You: "Exactly."
You at 1:41 of this video: "As a female, not just me but like, females in the world...damned if you do, damned if you don't, right?"
To be completely fair, you don't consistently do that. I just found it an amusing juxtaposition.
Anyway, I wouldn't assume that the Savage She-Hulk body double was a man. There are some pretty large bodybuilders who aren't men. And that's assuming she wasn't CGI, which I couldn't tell for sure at that old TV resolution (the CG has been up and down).
I love that this show set up its central conflict in the first episode, carried it through the entire season, and resolved it in the final episode even though people kept saying this show was going nowhere. The conflict was Jen v. the narrative, and there's no better way to conclude that story than to have Jen literally confront the mastermind behind the narrative that was intruding on her "lawyer show", state her case, and make her closing argument. Very She-Hulk way to end it. Specifically very much right out of John Byrne's Sensational She-Hulk.
Me sing “females “and insell dude bro‘s saying females are two totally different animals. Well I know you’re just pointing it out that it’s funny that I set it, I feel it’s necessary to point out that my connotation on that word is completely different than what they mean.
I really thought that it was a dude because I swear I saw facial hair 🤷♀️
One of my favorite things about it was her breaking the fourth wall and going to talk to Kevin, was that he was AI rather than a man. I think they took a lot of precaution having it be a machine rather than Feige. You definitely don’t want a video out there of an actor berating Feige for horrible storylines 😂
@@funnylilgalreacts Yeah, also I suspect Kevin Feige would feel like it might come off as narcissistic if he literally appeared in the show, with an important speaking role and everything. And the joke would kind of lack a punchline, after all that lead-up of "nobody talks to Kevin", if he was just a guy in an office. A bit of a spoiler that the subtitles spelled it as "K.E.V.I.N" when the writers were talking about him, though.
Fun fact: The writers and designers and everyone was in agreement that K.E.V.I.N had to be wearing a baseball hat, because Feige is known for it, but Feige was firmly against it because it doesn't make any sense that a machine would wear a hat, and showrunner Jessica Gao was baffled that that was the one thing he couldn't suspend his disbelief for, but then when someone proposed that they could just design the machine so that part of it *looks like* a baseball hat, he agreed to let them run with it. That might be my favorite Kevin Feige story of all time.
Nice use of a great Richard and Linda Thompson track
I think that savage she-hulk version of Jen was her stand in actress Malia Arrayah who is a 6’5” woman in a muscle suit.
Now let´s make a movie about evil women and good men, let´s see how that goes ;)
Ok. Sounds good.
I think She Hulk is my fav Disney+ Marvel show so far I need more episodes of it. I'm hopeful that she will show up in the new Daredevil show
Me too!
"Her mom better be nice to her." LOL! Then we watch your face melt as mom marks her territory with a passive aggressive comment. Foreshadowing that "...people don't change?"
My mom is SO NOT like that. It makes me grind my teeth 😅
@@funnylilgalreacts Well at least you know a good dentist who can take care of that 😁
Love the reaction, this imo was the second best ending of a marvel Disney plus episode, would love to see your reaction to werewolf by night.
Werewolf by night will be out tomorrow! 🐺
Not sure who it was in the intro segment playing Savage She-Hulk but wish it could be Bruce in Hulk form wearing the wig.
"I hate this, I hate this!
I love this! I love this!"
Mirror of real life for me 😂😂
Intro.... I was expecting you to reflect on the last episode and everything you said was very well worded.
As the series progressed we all just wanted the best for Jennifer. The fact that she was able to talk to K.E.V.I.N. and have her say and get the ending changed was well deserved.
Looking forward to what you have coming down the road. OH, BTW..... you're going to love what's coming next year!! James Wan has a great lineup coming with M3GAN ... The Nun 2 .... and Insidious: Fear the Dark !!! I cannot wait for those!!
Take care!!
The Nun 2!!!!!
How many people in Hollywood want to go right up to Kevin Feige and tell him what they think the direction of a character or show should go… I’d venture to guess a lot of them.
@@funnylilgalreacts There is a trailer for M3GAN out right now too. Maybe a reaction for that?
There are bad men, and there is Batman :D
An extra bit of annoyance is that Jen probably wouldn't be getting this kind of judgement if she was just super strong. Titania punched through a courtroom wall over a traffic violation, and got a slap on the wrist and maintained her followers. The only reason Jen is considered "scary" is because she's associated with Bruce, who was *actually* out of control when he transformed.
That is a crazy valid point. Guilty by association and she doesn’t deserve it
The KEVIN AI helps explain all the pap & reruns that's on TV.
There's a lot to say about this episode, bu I just have to say that I love the dad in this show. Love how he was written and the actor.
Jen’s dad telling Matt to “buckle up, EVERY conversation is going that way”, in regards to talking about them having kids was some of the best subtle meta commentary in this episode. Pretty much telegraphing how everyone in real life will be scrutinizing Matt & Jen’s relationship in the context of them settling down & having kids lol.
On one hand society impresses upon you that the “proper way” to be an adult is to get married n have kids.
Yet how many people are miserable while married?
Miserable with kids?
And THEY did their adult life the “proper way?”🙄
I didn’t pick up on that! I have a wedding I’m going to this weekend and I can’t wait for the “when are you getting married?” questions 🙄
@@funnylilgalreacts oh yeah, sorry in advance lol. Buckle up for the questions 😂
@@funnylilgalreacts Condolences, I was serially hit and discreetly felt-up/sexually harassed by a sloshed Matron of Honor the last wedding I was invited to.
@@BlackFlightNY that’s one aspect of this show I like that I feel others are unfortunately missing… and for various reasons 🙄. It’s making space for some subtle (and not so subtle lol) commentary that if we let exist can open the door for some nuanced discussion we can all engage in & benefit from.
