Steve Dangle said on his podcast yesterday that his sources have told him that the Ranger veterans are incensed with Drury and want him fired because of how he handled Goodrow and Trouba. Don't know if that is true but it makes total sense.
If the rumors are true and the players are In a revolt against the gm because of what happened over the summer with Barclay and Jacob And this is their reaction to tank I guess they don't care about the fans that's for sure what a bunch of entitled babies at least somebody have the balls to go into the GM's office and demand the captaincy it's ridiculous
I don't think it's time to close shop. Defentily need a major change though. In 50 games it is possible to pick up 60pts. 30-20. I think this all falls on the GM and the Coach. Defenitly lack of effort,physicality, and the will to win. Amazes me why we aren't using remepe, otheman, and Robertson. Need 2 actual LHD. Maybe a #2C and try Mika on the wing. It happened to Stamkos too... Krider and Mika can't play togayhrr 5v5. Just means they are out of their prime and it happens all the time.
@gary...don't you think though, they were way worse then just 2 games away. The amount of shots,quality shots no less, with poor firchecking showed how being in the conference finals was a manage. What do you think.
If it falls on the core, it falls on Drury. Regardless which players he brought in, he's the one who has maintained this roster. Everything starts there.
the core should have been traded over the summer and Drury's also responsible for some of the alienation. There are ways to move players and ways not to. But at the end of the day, it comes down to the owner. The same owner who defended and encouraged nearly 25 years of absolute and complete ineptness and absolute failure in Glen Sather. I'll guarantee he can't name ten players on the current roster. Trickledown theory can work well and also not work well. Dolan is an example of how not run a professional sports organization. Had he not been adopted by who we was adopted by, he'd more than likely be asking "would you like fries with that?"
He might not want out if you bench him. He might be fine with taking $8.5MM per year to relax until 2030. They're better off letting him play and hope he recovers.

I hope CEO Jim Dolan hires ex-ranger and GM with LVKnights "George McPhee." 6 months ago they were 2 wins away from the Stanley Cup Finals. Now they’re the weakest team in the league.

They were as far away from the Cup as the Islanders. FLorida and Tampa for years have been exposing just how far away they are.

Mika looks like he needs a change of scenery. Bench him until he wants out.
