E' la prima volta che eseguo musica di una compositrice. Mi ha molto incuriosito la figura di questa pianista che è stata al fianco di uno dei più grandi compositori del Romanticismo, ovvero Robert Schumann.
Sono contento di questo lavoro e lo propongo sul mio canale.
It's the first time I've performed music by a female composer. I was very intrigued by the figure of this pianist who worked alongside one of the greatest composers of Romanticism, namely Robert Schumann.
I am happy with this work and I propose it on my channel.
Clara Josephine Wieck Schumann (Lipsia, 1819 - Francoforte sul Meno, 1896) è stata una delle pianiste più importanti dell'era romantica.
Accortosi ben presto del dono di Clara, il padre decise di sottrarla alle distrazioni della scuola e di destinarla a corsi privati, soprattutto per farne una virtuosa del pianoforte.
Wieck insegnava personalmente il pianoforte alla figlia: il suo metodo pedagogico ne fece una concertista acclamata e fu applicato con successo anche da Robert Schumann o Hans von Bülow.
Friedrich Wieck accompagnava sempre la giovane figlia in tournée. Si preoccupava dei contratti, della sala e dello strumento.
Tenne concerti in numerose città; a Vienna, all'età di 18 anni, fu nominata virtuosa da camera dell'imperatore. Nell'attività di compositrice non fu da meno: le sue Quatre Polonaises op. 1 furono pubblicate quando aveva solo dieci o undici anni. Seguirono Caprices en forme de Valse, Valses romantiques, Quatre pièces caractéristiques, Soirées musicales, un concerto per pianoforte e, soprattutto, il suo Trio in sol minore per pianoforte, violino e violoncello op. 17, che senza dubbio è il suo capolavoro.
Innamoratasi a 16 anni di Robert Schumann, allievo di suo padre, poté sposarlo soltanto cinque anni dopo, il 12 settembre 1840, alla vigilia del proprio ventunesimo compleanno e in totale opposizione alla volontà del padre.
I primi anni di matrimonio furono sereni. Robert si dedicava alla composizione. Questi, inoltre, dapprima insegnò per un anno, dal 1843, nel conservatorio di Lipsia, invitato dal suo fondatore, l'amico Felix Mendelssohn , poi però preferì dedicarsi a seguire la moglie in tournée in Russia. La coppia si stabilì quindi a Dresda, dove Robert si diede totalmente alla composizione.
Seguendo il marito nei successivi spostamenti, Clara si dedicò alla sua assistenza, dacché i sintomi della sua instabilità mentale si manifestarono e poi si aggravarono via via negli anni. Dovette così essere internato nel manicomio di Endenich presso Bonn, dove sarebbe morto due anni dopo.
Dopo la morte di Robert Clara si dedicò principalmente all'interpretazione dei lavori del marito. La pianista tornò a Londra nel 1865 e riprese una intensa attività concertistica.
Nel 1878 ottenne la prima cattedra di pianoforte alla Hochschule für Musik di Francoforte sul Meno, incarico che mantenne fino al 1892.
Venne colpita da un ictus il 26 marzo 1896, e morì il successivo 20 maggio all'età di 77 anni. È sepolta a Bonn nel cimitero Alter Friedhof nella stessa tomba del marito.
Clara Josephine Wieck Schumann (Leipzig, 1819 - Frankfurt am Main, 1896) was one of the most important pianists of the Romantic era.
She held concerts in numerous cities; in Vienna, at the age of 18, she was appointed chamber virtuoso of the emperor. In her activity as a composer she was no less than her: her Quatre Polonaises op. 1 were published when she was only ten or eleven years old. This was followed by Caprices en forme de Valse, Valses romantiques, Quatre pièces caractéristiques, Soirées musicas, a piano concerto and, above all, his Trio in G minor for piano, violin and cello op. 17, which is undoubtedly her masterpiece.
After her husband's death she resumed an intense concert activity.
She died on May 20, 1896 at the age of 77.
Antonio Castagna graduated from IMP “G. Braga” of Teramo and, subsequently, he perfected himself with Maestro Franco Medori and Maestro Carlo Zecchi.
He has held numerous concerts and recitals in Italy and abroad . He has participated several times in RAI radio and television programs.
He played in Salzburg as part of the Salzburger Schlosskonzerte and in Paris, at the Italian Cultural Institute, as part of the “Hommage à LA FIGIA DI JORIO” event.
He toured Basel for the Consulate General of Italy.
At the invitation of the Italian Cultural Institute, he played in BRAZIL, in Rio de Janeiro, in the prestigious National Museum of Fine Arts.
He played, with the Teramo Trio, in Philadelphia (USA) in the Marshall Auditorium of Haverford College, in the Lincoln Hall of the Union League.
He was Director, from 1996 to 2012, of the I.S.S.M "Gaetano BRAGA" of Teramo. He was a piano teacher at the Conservatories of Foggia and Teramo.

Il est l'heure pour moi de rejoindre ton salon de musique pour y découvrir ta somptueuse interprétation de cette oeuvre si intense de Clara Schumann.
