Sorry to hear that you had to go through such a horrible experience. It's really unsettling how some people use manipulation and deceit to take advantage of others, especially in a place like Malaysia that should feel safe for visitors. I truly hope these scammers are caught and held accountable. I’m sure sharing your story will help others stay alert and avoid falling into similar traps. Stay strong, and I’m glad you're using your platform to raise awareness. Wishing you all the best moving forward
I truly hope that by spreading the word, others can stay vigilant and avoid falling into similar traps. Thank you for your kind support your encouragement is appreciated.
I'm really sorry to hear about your experience with the scam. It's unfortunate that there are travelers like that who take advantage of others to get money unfairly. Just a quick reminder: always be cautious when anyone talks about money or tries to convince you they're trustworthy by showing their wallet or acting "safe." It doesn't always mean they're genuine. Stay alert and take care of yourself in any country you visit, especially when it comes to people who seem overly focused on money. Wishing you all the best, and I hope the rest of your travels are full of positive experiences!
It's always important to stay cautious, especially when money is involved. I really appreciate the reminder to stay alert and trust my instincts. I’m definitely being more mindful now and will make sure to take extra care moving forward. Thanks for your support
As a Malaysian, It's easy to avoid people like this. We like to help other people and in the moment of situation we often let our guard down, that's why we have the skeptical feeling when we do something. It'll alert your mind on things you find weird or suspect. You'll feel bad for feeling that way if the person actually need your help but if the person actually meant to do harm, you just saved yourselves. Whatever they need to be shown, even if you have it on hand, it's better to show a picture of it on your phone. It's 2024, almost everything have a picture of it. Yes, you must say no if the person ask to see the real thing. Even government official or police dont ask to give out official ID unless its important. Take care of yourself and enjoy your time in Malaysia.
You're absolutely right, it's important to trust our instincts and stay alert, especially when dealing with unfamiliar situations. I completely agree that showing photos instead of physical items is a smart move, and it's a good reminder that sometimes, saying no is the best way to protect ourselves. Your advice is very valuable, and I'm grateful for the perspective. I’ll definitely keep this in mind moving forward. Thank you for your support 🙏🏼

That's why sometimes it's not safe to entertain strangers
