Fun fact: The "time traveler" in the name of this case could also refer to time travel as in nostalgia, with a lot of the old characters taking major roles.
"Previously on Phoenix Wright: Spirit of Justice" And then it's just pitch black room with a single waffle laying on the table and Monokuma's laughter in the background. That's how much Nico has fallen into despair in previous episode.
If the room is pitch black, you can't even see the waffle on the table. You might as well have a pitch black, endless (no walls) room where waffles cover every inch of the floor. Truly despair-inducing.
The second I saw Sorin I was like: "Nico, I beg of you. Do NOT give him the Morishge voice!" I am relieved that even he knows that would be a bad idea.
I think the main difference here is that Phoenix is in the right of mind here. WHen he fell off a bridge he was kinda panicking and was so concerned about Maya's safety that he completely overlooked the more present and obvious danger, something that even Larry thought would be insane to miss.
Yeah, Ellen is definitely the best thing about this case. Oh and the nostalgia it gives you considering you have Maya back and Edgeworth as the Prosecutor again. Now, the only thing missing is Gumshoe.......... Wait. What am I saying?! The thing missing is FULBRIGHT!!!!! IN JUSTICE WE TRUST!!!!!!!!
From flying nuns above burning bridges to the extinct Pterodactyl........ Leave it Larry to draw the most ridiculous crap the probably the key to the case
I honestly think the best thing about this case is how much it feels like old Ace Attorney cases. It has the original Phoenix-Maya pair, a familiar witness in Larry, Edgeworth as prosecutor, and a very small cast of other characters in a fairly simple setting with little guesswork as to motive for anything.
Life is Strange feels like it works better as a series of livestreams. I'm hoping Nico will give Tales of Vesperia another chance, especially after the E3 Microsoft announcement for the Definitive Edition!
This is exactly why Atlantis the Lost Empire needs to be in Kingdom hearts 3. Imagine fighting against steampunk themed heartless while going down into the depths of Atlantis. Oh man.......
Yeah, I love it too. The reception hall looked really dreamy-like. I would love to have a wedding like in that photo of he fog! Without the murder part, clearly xD
Somewhere along the line, NicoC passed by unnoticed...And NicoA couldnt do what NicoB is doing, so he is lost into who-knows-where before even come across NicoB
Sorin Sprocket is one of my favorite characters in Ace Attorney. Once we get into his backstory, I'm sure Nico will like him too. There's actually reason for his gimmicks.

Daniel _ KillerBull Hey, while your there, could you ask them to make more Okami games? We only ever got 2 and a bunch of ports/remakes of the first game.
lol when I first played this case, the male pegamoos and Sorin's cold attitude towards Ellen's arrest made me think they were gonna pull a "he's gay" twist.
Honestly I thought the twist of the case was gonna be that everyone thinks Dumas Gloomsbury was in love with Ellen (in the 'I won't let another man marry you' way) but he was actually into Sorin. Or something. lol
The best thing about this case for me is that it’s basically like a case from the first game. Aside from Ema, we have Phoenix, Maya, Larry and Edgeworth all back. Brings me back to the old days.
I'm just gonna go ahead and reinforce the fact that you should definitely show Miles and Larry your badge when you're able. It produces some good reactions as always! I know you're probably reluctant to get any fluff text for Larry, but I think his response is good enough to warrant the attempt! EDIT: Also I love Sorin. He reminds me of a certain character from another game, being a "genius inventor", having glasses and also a similar hair style, only a different color~☆ EDIT #2: Oh, it looks like you showed your badge to Larry... Well, I still recommend you show Edgeworth your badge if you get another chance! Also show him the pamphlet and stuff if you can, his response about the airship gives you a bit more insight into him~
Larry aside I find this case rather interesting, not better than the final case of this game but still pretty good. First off Ellen Wyatt is probably one of my favourite defendant in the series, her character itself is really funny, but I genuinely felt bad for her. I mean seriously, when your the bride of your wedding day, a murder is the last thing you want to happen especially if you're suspected of it, not to mention dealing with in-laws. Second the story it tells in the case also grabs my attention, you do feel drama unfold. Finally to discuss Larry in this case Nico, he does show up a lot in the beginning, but after the first trial day he kinda shows up less and less. So just tolerate it for now.
Capcom needs to stop throwing husbands at me...first Nahyuta, then Dhurke, then Sorin and Pierce!!!!! I can’t stop myself!!! _we cant forget Larry of course, but that’s a given_
I like that they actually show Larry progressively becoming more talented over the course of the series. His sketch of the cabin was actually really well made, except for the uh...pterodactyl. A huge improvement over the bridge drawing from T&T.
Maya: Hey look! The pamphlet says there's supposed to be a Pegamoo and a Pegabull in the reception, but we see 2 Pegabulls in the hall! Phoenix: Does that mean... this is actually a wedding between two men?! Maya: That's the only explanation I can see. Phoenix: Of course! Ellen must have killed Sorin because Sorin is actually marrying Dumbass- I mean Dumbas Gloomberry, and she killed him out of spite! Maya: Case closed Nick! The Magatama must be lying to you! Cuff her Nick! *Ellen was executed afterwards*
Frankly, I think it would be the first game to have a prosecutor that actually wins in the series. I mean, Sebastian isn't quite as well learned as others, but he'd no doubt would serve Larry on a platter if they were to face off.
kirby1781 Well, I'm assuming the man on the seat did talk to Phoenix about the photo. They at least breath, I guess. Unlike the guard in Detention Center 😂
Am I the only one who likes how Ellen looks when she kinda breaks down and gets more emotional than when she’s all prim and proper? I think it looks cute
5:23 Not sure why Phoenix is confused about why Dumas needed to write a note to himself explaining his own plan, given that Inga did pretty much exactly the same thing and there were no shenanigans about that... Argh, I shouldn't complain about that, but it really irked me that that was in an otherwise very good case.
So... the note wasn't in the open, then? If it was on Dumas, isn't his personage still a place only he would have easy access to? If Dumas got it from somewhere, who's to say the same wasn't the case for Inga? Maybe the plan he had was something he seized from some scheming subordinate to blackmail them; and he had different intentions for the Orb. Plus it's not like it was hard to get in Inga's safe; after all, how long did it take Phoenix and Edgeworth to do that? I hope this doesn't come across as condescending; I appreciate your reply and just want to make sure I understand it correctly.
I rewatched that part again. Phoenix followed that question with if the victim really wrote it. That's a rational question to ask the way the note is laid out beside the body and not in his pocket or something. It could have been planted there later after the body was found. I say that because the note helps the defense more than the prosecution. I believe that's what he was trying to confirm, but Ema didn't know.
That’s what I thought as well. In which case, if this Sorin guy ends up being the killer, it would basically be a role reversal of case 2 of Apollo Justice, where Wocky believed Alita wouldn’t kill anyone because he loved her.
what could be considered remotely a twist isn't EVERY detail and I mean actually everything super obvious, like you have to actually try to not get what's going on
I kind of like that edgeworth is back to his "interested in the truth but Harsh prosecutor" phase in this case. Really does make this feel like a blast from the past case.
Pierce Nichody's name is indeed a pun on persnickety, which is why I believe Nichody should be pronounced "Nick-a-dee" like the source word. As for what "persnickety" means... when I looked it up I got conflicting answers. One source said it means "difficult to work with" while another source said it means "stuck up." Given his character I feel both interpretations could be accurate.
Nichody: I guess you could say "patching things up" is my specialty That really hits different You werent expecting a joke were you? It's honestly sad to me
Me: Man, this case involves time travel and brings back Larry. They went all out for making the final case super weird. Larry: HEY DUDE, I TOTES SAW A PTERODACTYL FLY BY THE WINDOW THE OTHER DAY! Me: 0_o
So the air ship is 80ft so those engines can gain a top speed of over 35 nots assuming there over v12 and have a 2 stage supercharger engines . Cruising speed would have to be 23-28 nots.
Did anyone else think about this line from a previous Ace Attorney Playthrough, when they saw Larry's sketch? "I swear to god, Larry if you painted another picture of a flying girl over a bridge, I will tear of your head and use it as my personal puppet!"
48:28 let the record show that literally every time larry hides something from you in these games, its literally never is for a good reason, nor ever warranted.
Ellen's crazy mannerisms are the best thing about this case so far...
NicoB No it's Larry
Larry Larry LARRY LARRY
Keep your expectations very low to avoid mass disappointment.
Maybe give nichody the same but a bit lighter/higher voice? It's a bit deep and kinda remind me of that douche Paul Atishon
Also Ellen Wyatt (pun: All in white) does canonly have an English accent as seen in the opening cutscene
Still love the fact we tricked you into buying a DLC that contains Larry.
IN NICO PAIN WE TRUST!!!
Best money I never spent!
DetectiveSpiritOfBobbyFulbrightGamer yes we do😏
That was just evil and I love it.
It's even sweeter that we got him to spend $6 on it. I think we all became Monokuma the other day.
Fun fact: The "time traveler" in the name of this case could also refer to time travel as in nostalgia, with a lot of the old characters taking major roles.
Mr. 72 I like your avatar.

There's another big reference to the older games here too: the murder weapon is a clock.
Josh Haworth There’s another big reference to the older games too: it was actually a different person driving the car
Ah yes, the classic Nico B method of "If I call everyone the killer, I'll get it right eventually."
Isnt that how like, everyone plays this game?
"Previously on Phoenix Wright: Spirit of Justice"
And then it's just pitch black room with a single waffle laying on the table and Monokuma's laughter in the background. That's how much Nico has fallen into despair in previous episode.
More like ANGUISH!!!! (oh wait thats not my thing......)
E05_Mabashi and the waffle is in the shape of Larry’s face.
If the room is pitch black, you can't even see the waffle on the table. You might as well have a pitch black, endless (no walls) room where waffles cover every inch of the floor. Truly despair-inducing.
That's true JUSTICE!
Wait a second something is off here.🤔
Larry may be annoying but at least he's a pretty decent artist.
J.R. Spradlin The less sexy sounding, more-of-a-weenie Yusuke.
Oh, I know who Ellen reminds me of.
Crybaby Phoenix defended by Mia Fey.
E05_Mabashi yup, she's just like young feenie isn't she?
That's a good point, I never even thought of that
E05_Mabashi. Her crying face reminds me of sailor moon......(Don’t judge me....)
Yeah, had the exact same thought when i played it the first time.
The second I saw Sorin I was like:
"Nico, I beg of you. Do NOT give him the Morishge voice!"
I am relieved that even he knows that would be a bad idea.
I think it’s funny how Phoenix is scared of falling from the vista deck, considering he’s fallen from a bridge and survived
ccbib Phoenix can give Komaeda a run for his money in luck
He was surely traumatized...
I bet he would only break a toe or something.
jthedog we would fall off and be completely fine, then walk away and stub his toe
I think the main difference here is that Phoenix is in the right of mind here. WHen he fell off a bridge he was kinda panicking and was so concerned about Maya's safety that he completely overlooked the more present and obvious danger, something that even Larry thought would be insane to miss.
Well technically Edgeworth does have a butler. And his name is Gumshoe. But Capcom doesn't seem to remember him 😭
Yeah, Ellen is definitely the best thing about this case. Oh and the nostalgia it gives you considering you have Maya back and Edgeworth as the Prosecutor again. Now, the only thing missing is Gumshoe.......... Wait. What am I saying?! The thing missing is FULBRIGHT!!!!! IN JUSTICE WE TRUST!!!!!!!!
we need a prequel game..starring Gumshoe as a newbie detective working with fullbright!

Nyoka Shortt his art has gotten better since Trials And Tribulations.
InfinityRage the kind of character development we didn't want, but it's a character development we deserve.
To be fair, it's not Larry's fault that he winds up seeing the most absurd things imaginable.

This whole case seems like a call back to the old games. Crazy premises, Pheonix and Maya VS Edgeworth, and LARRY!
Thats because it technically is. Its not called Turnabout Time Traveler for nothing. Its go like were going back to the old days of AA.
DetectiveSpiritOfBobbyFulbrightGamer That explains it.
Sadly there's still someone missing from the old cast.

but when the case actually pretends like it's a mystery it's just insulting
aneonfoxtribute oh come on you totally made waste of using an already used pun.
You'd better work on your grammar before you expect anything of someone else.
Soarin=Steampunk Hugh O'Connor
16:49 He’s just like Drax. Invisible while he stands still.
Is it just me or does Ellen kinda look like alita tiala from "apollo justice"?
She *kind* of does, but only in her "prim and proper" poses.
That’s what I thought as well. In which case, if this Sorin guy ends up being the killer, it would basically be a role reversal of case 2 of Apollo Justice, where Wocky believed Alita wouldn’t kill anyone because he loved her.
in case you were confused with alita tiala from "trials and tribulations"
A ceiling fan *ding*
i always thought she reminded me of Princess Di
Wow, Sorin is...kind of adorable
IamDragonFury wasnt expecting him to look that young and cute
I figured he'd be young, but, I though he'd be more...flamboyant.
IamDragonFury I gotta say, he's the most handsome AA character for me 😂
I may have to agree with that
So I see that the flex tape worked. GOOD, I *FIXED NICO SANITY* Flex tape fixes everything!!
Butterballporkbun The Toymaker T H A T S A L O T T A D A M A D G E
*TO SHOW YOU THE POWER OF FLEX TAPE, I SAWED NICO’S SANITY IN HALF*
"Pierce Nichody" = "Persnickety" I CRACKED THE CASE!
"I am Pierce Nichody, the Sprocket family's butler."
Riddle geeks:
_The *butler*, you say?_
Ooo the butler, my favorite character in this case... Because he's... persnickety... Best pun name.
Thank god Sorin didn't get the Morishige voice
Maya needs the FXR-UPR for when the Urn breaks again.
The murderer is always the butler that is solved murder mystery 101
Time travel huh
Seems familiar
Yes... but where... signing out, el psy konogo
Changing worldlines
I love this case so much by far my favorite one in the game i just love the serting and the twists
What twists? Lol. Its pretty obvious imo unless i forgot something
what could be considered remotely a twist isn't EVERY detail and I mean actually everything super obvious, like you have to actually try to not get what's going on
I need to get myself a FXR UPR, that could be really useful
I have waited this ENTIRE LP for Nico to see that goddamn pterodactyl
Oh god I have Shelly de killer flashbacks
I kind of like that edgeworth is back to his "interested in the truth but Harsh prosecutor" phase in this case. Really does make this feel like a blast from the past case.
Oh my GOD Larry’s drawing are getting better and better, I really like the shading and highlights on this one ;0
Wait Cable is in this game?! awesome!
Have fun in court! And good luck
NICO WHEN ELLEN IS FREAKING OUT GIVE HER THE HARU VOICE. The prim and proper voice doesn’t work well with her freak out.
Honestly, the best part of this case is the designs and quirks of the characters
I kinda liked how Larry began to be a stubborn asshole ready to put on a fight and almost outsmart Edgeworth. And then his Psyche-Lock appears.
Blonde hair... split personalities... Junko anyone?
Pierce Nichody's name is indeed a pun on persnickety, which is why I believe Nichody should be pronounced "Nick-a-dee" like the source word. As for what "persnickety" means... when I looked it up I got conflicting answers. One source said it means "difficult to work with" while another source said it means "stuck up." Given his character I feel both interpretations could be accurate.
9:50 maya if the steel samurai flew a plane like that it would be crushed before it can even get a chance to taxi
I've been waiting for this part just to say that Sorin is such a cutie, that is all.
Ellen is the best part of this case so far. Even during her little freak out sprites, she’s adorable.
Larry's reaction to Phoenix showing him his badge is my absolute favorite 53:41
Nichody: I guess you could say "patching things up" is my specialty
That really hits different
You werent expecting a joke were you? It's honestly sad to me
Me: Man, this case involves time travel and brings back Larry. They went all out for making the final case super weird.
Larry: HEY DUDE, I TOTES SAW A PTERODACTYL FLY BY THE WINDOW THE OTHER DAY!
Me: 0_o
by the way, because you've tempted fate. Now I really wanna see Larry Butz: Ace Attorney
No! You can't just smash a radio and act like it's no big deal!
Haha, FXR-UPR go brrrrrrr
So the air ship is 80ft so those engines can gain a top speed of over 35 nots assuming there over v12 and have a 2 stage supercharger engines . Cruising speed would have to be 23-28 nots.
Oh look, it's Sephiroth!
Fun fact. At 49:25, that bubble on Larry’s pipe looks like a ball because it _is_ a ball! It’s a form of cheap toy blowpipe ball-game thingy.
Maya talking about her abysmal penmanship is incredibly relatable
previously on NicoB he was cursing us for paying $6 for Larry XD
How Nico works :
* sees suspicious character * : you look like the killer
* sees suspicious character doing suspicious shit * : yeah you're the killer
Did anyone else think about this line from a previous Ace Attorney Playthrough, when they saw Larry's sketch? "I swear to god, Larry if you painted another picture of a flying girl over a bridge, I will tear of your head and use it as my personal puppet!"
48:28 let the record show that literally every time larry hides something from you in these games, its literally never is for a good reason, nor ever warranted.
HEY nico this must mean your in the hell of larries meaning that 29,999 other larries will apper
Edgeworth doesn't need a butler though. He has Gumshoe.
@26:54 Bwahahaha, suddenly I remembered about Shelly De Killer, being butler and all that XD
Omg SAMEEEEE
*grabs maya*
