The Everdrive has been great and after that I got one for my Genesis and will get an N64 one next. Everdrives have been great, far better than the other flash carts I've tried. My decisions made sense to me, but to each their own
I think by that he meant that you should have gone with the EZ Flash but tbh both have their benefits and drawbacks. Everdrive draws way less power than the EZ Flash but the EZ Flash also comes with extra features. Everdrives my personal favorite because the lower power draw has less of an impact on the battery life than the EZ flash.
the ez flash carts are a great alternative to the everdrives if you're trying to save a bit of money i have both the omega and junior and they've both been great so far :)
I felt the same until it corrupted my emerald save. Ez flash is good if you dont play battle frontier which constantly saves. If you play that, buy everdrive.
dont get an ezflash or everdrive just install scfw on it and it patches on the cart and runs faster (supports bigger cards too) unless you need a slot 2 ds flashcart use scfw
I bought two of these flashcards and I regret it, they are laggy when multiple objects are moving on the screen or when you are moving fast, this happens in ALL games I play whether its GB, GBA, NES or Sega Master games. I have three gameboys and they lag the same on all. Dont waste your money and at least buy an EZ-flash instead.
I remember wanting these when I was a little kid. They had good reviews at the time. I think they were around $99 once you include the price for a 2gb micro sd card at the time
I got this flash cart and was really bummed I couldn't play my Pokemon Crystal rom I dumped from my 3DS, so I just bought the EZ Flash Omega and hoping it's better as a lot of people say it's a better alternative to the Everdrives than the Supercard SD Edit: I also forgot to say it does play GBA games perfectly fine so it's a decent flash cart if you only look to play GBA games only on it, but I want to play my GBC games I dumped from my 3DS as well and possibly other roms too
Got one on a whim. So far it’s been doing okay, but I haven’t been doing anything demanding like playing something that requires a bunch of saves. After seeing this, though, I don’t think I’ll press my luck! 🤣
Ez flash is very good very reliable and there's TONS of info on it online due to its popularity. It's pricey though but not nearly as much as everdrive series

Man, I have an older model of that particular cart, the one that uses REGULAR SD cards. Not Mini, Not Micro, the BIG old SD cards. Yes, its max size is 2GB. Yes, It still needs to be formatted in FAT (but IIRC FAT32 is also okay, but I need to double check) and Yes, it still needs the software to convert the games. However, my card can also run NES, GB and GBC games fine.
got one of these a while ago. one of the regular sd card ones and the supercard program wouldnt open on my laptop and when i ran it on my pc it wouldnt pop up but would show it was running in task manager. i ended up taking off the RTC battery to replace the dry one in my pokemon ruby.

Those "Game Color" flash carts aren't bad and load pretty quickly, but are weird to navigate. I'm also hesitant to put it into my computer in case of spyware or malware.
I bought one but it deleted my Pokemon save the second time I tried playing it. I’ve ordered an EZ-FLASH OMEGA DEFINITIVE EDITION and asked for a refund. Quality has a price I guess.
The point is there's so many caveats when setting it up (having to have a very specific memory size for your memory card, requires the use of an obsolete format system, requires you to download wonky software on it that's glitchy and unreliable etc)
I ordered 4 of these from Ali Express and they got lost in transit and Ali denied my claim. I bought an Everdrive after that

Mine does play gb and gbc games, I belive there is a file you have to add for them to be recognized

You have to extract files onto the pc first, then copy files from pc to sd micro sd card. I had the same problem.

Even though it's slow to read the game it's worth it.
It actually works with gb and gbc games! But overall SuperCard is pretty bad
