Originally in Cata, you basically had to buy the gear twice for conquest. You also had to gem & enchant the elite set again. It was not an upgrade or appearence. You were just eligible to buy another set. Elite gear had the same stats afaik

Cause 2v2 takes way way lower skill. And the change gets more people to play 3s. You should get a glad mount when your good at the game imo. Not in 2s where most people snipe, dodge or play 10iq comps
People who could get to gladiator ratings on 2v2 could easily do it on 3v3 too. I agree on 5v5 things might be cheesable. @maltesre9032 comment here just stinks like PvE Andies trying to gatekeep titles from people who just might not find enough like minded players to push high ratings on 3v3 and 2v2 is their only option.

The reason you cant get glad in 2s is because the game isnt balanced around 2s. Same reason theres no 2s AWC. Cuz all you would see is rogue/disc or maybe feral/disc.
The pvp item transmogs section is referring to the lvl 60 pvp sets, not the elite sets
You're not alone, my elite set on retail disappeared also. Couldn't get a GM to restore it either, sadge

The one you're confused about only applies to the Vanilla pvp sets.
Absolutely agree with making gearing easier and catchup. TBC/Wrath were so much worse because of the gearing system.

I don't know if it's the same way in Cata, but the elite conquest weapons in MoP had better stats than their non-elite counterparts.
Makes no sense to keep rank 1 in 2s/5s and remove gladiator. Should have been the other way around if anything, though I hope they'll remove both
