It was only when a police officer Maggie Oliver from Rochdale retired so she could blow the whistle and tell the press that the CPS finally decided they could prosecute gangs in multiple towns. It stinks. The CPS knew Al Fayed’s highly paid defence team would run rings around them at every stage making their job harder so just like with Saville they let it slide. It turns out they decided not to prosecute a second time. If either cases had gone to trial all the women speaking up now would have come forward and Al Fayed would have had the opportunity to defend himself whilst he was alive.

Me too started 18 years ago. So he would have been 76 at that time. Plenty of time to bring out your accusations when he was still alive. Getting money from the estate is a strange way to go about this.
They are being compensated by the current owners of Harrods -the investment vehicle of the Qatar royal family , his estate isn't involved as far as I know
It could be possible that the women were afraid for their lives when he was still alive. A powerful man that wants to keep his reputation and threatens people is still a threat while he's alive. Not so much when he dies. I am also trying to understand why you prefer to stand up for a predator than people who have been victimized.
Did you not listen to the piece? The CPS declined to prosecute and the police were started investigating other allegations a couple of years before he died but he died before it could be completed. Some of the women received very threatening phone calls.
Anyone who worked at Harrods over the years knows this. It was well known within the company. He was so rich he could just settle and make the claimants sign non disclosure agreements. People were complicit because they knew he was a sexual predator but nobody did anything.
Why didn’t they report this at the time to the police ? The UK 🇬🇧 is a developed country with a good (not excellent) legal system. Right? Shame on them to attack a man who can’t defend himself. Is this another opportunity for GOLD DIGGERS ?
There's tons of reasons why victims don't immediately come forward. This guy was a bilionaire. Its highly likely that every assault was accompanied by thteats if they talked.

You really need to check former Vanity Fair editor Henry Porter & his staggering evidence on Fayed...It was only the death of Diana that stopped the legal proceedings Conde Naste had in progress at that time that stopped the evidence becoming public knowledge...
Rape or had relation with the man? At this moment these are allegations. When he was alive he was billionaire, gold diggers will target him or baiting him so they can sue him. Why accuse him now when he's dead and cant defend himself.
The man is not here to defend himself! I am sorry for any victims but I do hope they have proof that there is evidence to back up their claims. They wanted to meet their targets.
This was in the same time period the CPS repeatedly refused to prosecute the men from the Muslim grooming gangs who had raped and trafficked girls in towns all over the country.

It could be possible that the women were afraid for their lives when he was still alive. A powerful man that wants to keep his reputation and threatens people is still a threat while he's alive. Not so much when he dies. I am also trying to understand why you prefer to stand up for a predator than people who have been victimized.
He could have worked for the BBC
Why not say anything when he was alive ?
Did you not listen to the piece? The CPS declined to prosecute and the police were started investigating other allegations a couple of years before he died but he died before it could be completed.
Some of the women received very threatening phone calls.
Anyone who worked at Harrods over the years knows this. It was well known within the company. He was so rich he could just settle and make the claimants sign non disclosure agreements. People were complicit because they knew he was a sexual predator but nobody did anything.
Why did they wait until he had died?
Funny how all these allegations suddenly surface after the man died and is no longer around to defend himself!
