Justin,I appreciate all the work you put in behind the scenes to gather statistics. Brady Bacon would be a great addition to either traveling sprint car series! He's not only an excellent driver, but a great guy also.
Did they add banking to Circle City?? What a fun track that has turned into. Nice to see Brady Bacon win. Stay USAC we have enough Wing cars already. #NonWingNut
heh I wish, we used to have one sutable at the state fair in indy, and the hoosier hundred that they had there for decades was the crown jewel of the champ car trail dirt races not just cuz its indy but it was also said to be more challenging then the illinose miles and it goes away faster as it was just plain ol ground dirt, and it was basicly second oldest contiual use race venue in the usa second only to milwalki mile, and first to have a sub minute mile in a racecar in 1903 from barney oldfield from wasseon ohio, the fair board decided harness racing and training was more importent then auto racing so they burried it under crushed limestone no longer suitable for cars, and they wont even let the flat track motorbikes race on it eaither but they will put up a temperary track for monster trucks and demo derby but no lets not even have a midet race around the small dirt track, now there is the mile 30 miles south at shelbyvill horseshoe casino but dont have a catch fence or stands sutable to race cars on but it is indeed dirt, and there are still places they could put up another silvercrown size track meaning at least a half mile or greater, but there has to be the will to do so, I think though the inner track they just built at circle city in indys east side might be the last track they build in indiana there is getting too much development, and I would like to see at least one more half mile beside terre haute its so far away from by fort wayne, but the drive is for closer qurters racing as the wrecks arnt and hard hitting and its easier on the engines and relys more on the drivers skill to run the car as opposed to who has the best set up and engine, I like the all outspeed though I would love to see even a temporary one built at irp there is lots of room still that one could be put up though the sanctioning body would problably have to pay for it on top of renting the venue for the race, and at the rumble in fort wayne smoke tony stewart said no ones going to build a dirt mile for cars anymore, the racing dont have enough passing and aside the costs saddly, though what it boils down to was I feel cheated they had one more hoosier hundred that was supposed to be in 2021 as they had not started the limestoning yet and one april 14 the statefair announced they had started the conversion and the race was off, feel cheated and problably will till I see just one more silvercrown dirt race beside terrehaute in indiana to make up for it I mean just one time or put the hundred back on dirt somehow though after looking at the history of silvercrown races the most laps they have ever done is 150 and those are on paved tracks but I would love to see a 200 lap extravaganza on a dirt half even if they stop at 100 laps and rework the track have an open red do some work on the cars and then go again on stage 2 I asked tony in passing at the rumble please consider having an actuall full lenght silver crown race independant of the 4 crowns which is problably one of the greated openwheel racing nights in the nation you got midgets non wing sprints winged sprints and then last race of the night silvercrown though by then its tore up and they go for 25 miles 50 laps and drive the wheels off those roadsters as though they were driving sprint cars its wicked just like the did at bellvill last weekend and miss bryson was the first lady to win a silvercrown feature, I would like that a lot a full hundred lap race at eldora long distance like they are made to do, now that said I totally love even the pavement hoosier hundred its a full i00 mile race 146 grinding laps and its stilll in indy metro at irp, I just wish it was a dirt race, like many it just dont seem right the indy 500 of dirt track racing to be a pavement race, and there was a time that the champ car trail that the indy 500 was part of had dirt races on the fairground miles and horsetracks, and winning the hoosier was second only in prestige to winning the indy 500 or the daytona 500 and was second highest payout race back then too, before the high paying winged sprintcar races.
Bacon needs to go full time winged racing. I said that last year. The guy that wrecked Newton should’ve been disqualified from the feature. Great show!
I would think Brady is after Dave Darlands record of 62 national USAC sprint car wins. The win Wednesday nite brought his total to 52 only 8 0:05 tying the record
I couldn't agree more about the Kevin Newton deal, that was just stupid. Another thing that was annoying was at the STSS race where some kid doored a guy to win a last chance race and when he got to victory lane he climbed on the roof celebrating like it was Daytona. Yes, he got a win and yes he's just a kid, but that just looked bad to me
As a late model driver in the south, to me any track that is super wide, or doesn’t have walls makes guys change and drive more risky and in my opinion junks more equipment. Consequences change how a guy drives
I rember Brady Bacons dad at tullsa speedway . They said you cant beet Bacon annd Ham lol as is in Steave Ham ....... fast forward at port city I think maybee bob cook said look brady and Donnny R Jr look like thumbs with hamlwts on
@@DIRTRACKR The last time I bitched about no late model content you came up with that Shep testing at Millbridge the next day , that was cool as hell. I'll chill.
It honestly doesn't seem like much is going on at the moment. Maybe I'm wrong. We'll talk Show Me 100 tomorrow, but we've covered the Terbo stuff, HTF sponsor drama, Outlaw shows last weekend, Outlaw points battle with Hoffman/Shepp/Pierce. RTJ is running IMCA this week, but it keeps getting rained out. There is some driver news for tomorrow. I have another thing I've been sitting on, but I need confirmation, which I may or may not get. What am I missing or not seeing? And that's not a sh*tty question, that's an actual ask.
Happens all the time. Posse has won plenty against the Outlaws. Same with Knoxville guys like Brian Brown. Brady Bacon has two Haubstadt wins, Carson Short got one too. California guys Kyle Hirst, Shane Golobic are some recent examples.
Sure. However the “local guys” that have won WoO shows lately, are basically “National Level” teams and drivers that regularly win with the more regional touring series they run with… Bacon with USAC, Brain Brown with Knoxville, etc. Cant remember the last time a truely “local” guy won… A guy that just runs that one track and thats it. Carson Short is the closest to that…
Love watching bacon cherry pick outlaw wins. Kinda like watching Bobby Allen win Knoxville. Not a big budget team but a good driver behind the wheel. Got to finish in the top 3 to make money on national wing series. Not as easy as one thinks. Can name a bunch of guys that are feature fillers. They have a chance but usually not a good one. Love watching bacon roll without a wing
Would love to see Brady Bacon go full time wing racing. Couldn't agree more.
Justin,I appreciate all the work you put in behind the scenes to gather statistics. Brady Bacon would be a great addition to either traveling sprint car series! He's not only an excellent driver, but a great guy also.
I'll say it again... USAC NEEDS TO PAY MORE!
Did they add banking to Circle City?? What a fun track that has turned into. Nice to see Brady Bacon win.
Stay USAC we have enough Wing cars already. #NonWingNut
Soon as you talk about Bacon he goes out and wins . Good job Brady .
That move on Newton was brutal. I wish it didn’t have to cost guys so much money to teach guys doing that a lesson
Everyone talked about Bacon running wing first few times I seen him race was wing racing did awesome
I agree on Bacon running more winged shows. I think he already would be but they lack the funding to do so.
Bacon said in his interview after winning WoO it was too expensive to win race and his sponsor help only want to help on the nonwing stuff.
I agree. Looking at Terra haute seems like a wide open mile.

Brady Bacon could definitely do well in winged racing. Same with Seavey.
“This 9 hundred square feet of wing on top ain’t enough, gimme that 3” wicker!”
We will be at circle City today and tomorrow and we will head to Atomic speedway this weekend

Terre Haute is in good hands with Joe. Hopefully the track remains stable going forward.

Random question: Has a local guy ever won when the Outlaws have come to town?

@DIRTRACKR nice I bet that was a special night to beat the Outlaws when they roll into town.
@@DIRTRACKRwhen was the last time a local won a major WoO/Lucas LM event? Payton Looney 2020 Show Me?
@@Brian-vd4mg I think either Josh Rice at Florence or Jared Miley at Port Royal, both 2022, for late models.
