My favorite is The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes" in episode 10x18 when it turns out Sam didn't burn that magic book? I like how they used the natural change in the music to go with the scene! That's the thing: not only did this show have great music, but it always knew just what to do with it!
Actually it wasn't him. They had been going thru songs for that moment and somebody suggested using that song and they did. He talked about it in an interview or panel.
@@jaycehoward2771 I was just coming to say that. Jensen said he picked out several songs, and the producer or music director (he didn't remember which) had picked out his song, and he was pleasantly surprised. Now he DID pick 'The Gambler' for the first episode he directed - 'Weekend at Bobby's'
Man, I remember in 15x04 when I heard Sounds of Someday and I was like "holy shit this is amazing, who is this???". Imagine my shock when I saw that it was Jensen and his band. Incredible

I have wanted dead or alive in the best 'singing and dancing' moments video on my channel! I'm in the process of making a part 2 as well to this video. There's just so many good uses of music in Supernatural!
The only one I'd add is The Rooster by Alice In Chains (can't remember which episode but it's in the graveyard when they're dodging the FBI again) this is so perfect!
You can go wherever you want to go (patty griffen) 10.22 Fell on Black Days (Soundgarden) 2.5 and 8.6 Brothers in Arms (Dire Straights) 15.20 Famous Final Scene (Bob Seager) 9.10 and 15.20 Rooster (AIC) 2.19 To name a few
Behind blue eyes, when Dean is acting normal, but afflicted with the mark of Cain. Beautifully used at the end of the episode. Also - These boots are made for walking, and I'm gonna getcha (one way or the other) where the demon (don't remember exactly) wants to drop something heavy on them in the street. And the summing up of, I think, season 5 at the start of s. 6 was the best filmic composition they ever had to Wayward son - use that one, it was stunning. Great video, by the way. Music was so important to this show, and we all have withdrawal symptoms now that it's over!
Oh, thought of one more great one :Lonesome loser (not sure about the title, lyrics go "he's a loser, but he just keeps on tryin'"), at the start of the episode where Dean is trying to have a family with that woman with kid, when Sam is supposed to have died, but this was the episode he came back from hell without his soul. Know what I mean?
this is a good compilation, but there are some majorly forgotten ones: 15.01 - The Famous Final Scene by Bob Seger 03.16 - Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi 03.11 - Back in Time by Huey Lewis & the News 15.07 - Good Ole Boys sung by Jensen Ackles & Christian Kane 02.03 - Back in Black by AC/DC (belongs to this episode) 05.02 - Spirit in the Sky by Norman Greenbaum 07.06 - All out of Love by Air Supply 04.10 - Eye of the Tiger by Survivor 12.12 - Broomstick Cowboy by Bobby Goldsboro 07.20 - Walking on Sunshine by Katrina & the Waves 02.17 - Silent Lucidity by Queensryche I hope you do a part 2 and include these, plus I'm sure there are some I'm missing
Love that Radio Company made it on the show!

The director gets to pick the music. Jensen directed 15x4, and decided he might as well use his own song! LOL
I got all giddy when I heard the song. It fit so well.
It was perfect

Solitude from Black Sabbath in Season 12, episode 1 and you need to have the original Carry on My Wayward Sun from Kansas too

Silent lucidity could be in a ‘saddest music moments’ in Supernatural!
That was awesome! ❤

Good compilation.
But I was so wishing that Dead or alive would be in the list. Never forgot that one.
It's in the best 'singing' moments on the show compilation on this channel!
