That was and will always be one of my favorite days on a bicycle.
My cousin Sean and I did this in 2019. We had a creepy Airbnb about .3 miles from the start... the ride itself was spiritual. He went back in '22.

The descent into the difference was definitely brutal, but the next 20 miles of the difference were the best in my 136 mile day (yes I missed a turn) can't wait for 9/8/23.

This would be fun to do. I only got into riding on gravel once I moved out to SF. Lived in PA for 35 years and barely dabled.
maybe one day you will discover the magic of 100mm suspension .it will give you a lot of joy and decrease the fatic by a lot!

This is the most perfect explanation anyone can give to the bike industry that aero gravel bikes are stupid. Gravel is not meant to be a race but an adventure and good times. No rules. No tests for doping. And no age requirements. I am happy to see the Europeans and the UCI being shunned for their iteration of Gravel. Keep the Pros out of it unless they just want to have a good time.
