I went years with my house being cluttered with toys. My oldest two (11 and 8) shoe less interest in toys and initiated the decluttering process on their own. It takes time, but eventually their interests will change. I found that only declutterring what you are comfortable with helps. Don’t feel pressured to get rid of too much, especially when your kids play with these things. You are doing a wonderful job managing the toys in your house. Keep up the good work!

I am a Mimi now with 5 grands. I have 8 baskets of toys like you do in your son's room. They are only young once. Just teach them to pick up and toy rotation helps.

It really can be emotional throwing stuff out depending on what it is. Some things don’t give me issue, then other things are SO hard. Thank you for sharing that journal, I am going to look that up.

We went to FL for the first week of summer, now we’re back and it’s day 2 and I’m already slightly loosing my mind! 😅 I definitely need this decluttering motivation!
