If quitting comes to your head, you arent a real Naval Cadet, you should never give up. Giving up is the enemy, you will regret giving up, not only are you giving up on your brotherhood, your giving up on your country.

Everyone has a thought of quitting, it’s the concept of getting up and moving on when the times get rough is what makes you a cadet.

@@kylesmith1430 last year when I went to Recruit Training there we're Alot of people who quit... For Alot of reasons but the majority who had quit were females I remember there was a kid in my company and barracks in a room over cried himself to sleep cause he just couldn't handle it we all saw him leave the next day ... The words from the CO I will never forget would be "If You Quit You will regret it." I cried in RT I admit cause of some new I got before I left but the sense of Brotherhood I could feel in RT until this day if I were to do it again RT made me know what true Comradery is... You don't gotta tell your family you are one you feel it I went to The RT Vikings Division had last year at Randolph Macom academy just something I will remember forever... Glad I joined Sea Cadets in Recruit Training I was not focused on anything but my Shipmates and us together making it through

I joined the US Navy at 17. 10 weeks of boot camp in San Diego. It was unbelievably hard but I stuck with it. The memories of boot camp and my service to the Navy as a Corpsman has stayed with me my entire life. It was the best decision I ever made. I envy you kids going into the USNSCC. I wish I was a kid again so I could have this experience again.

As I look at this video I find myself going back in time (being a part of the sea cadets) class of 1979 from Ft Mc Henry in Baltimore, Maryland where I spent every chance I had to go in to the base and trained at Norfolk Naval Air Station. The Sea Cadets molded my life to whom Iam today, yes I own my life to this great organization I tear up just knowing what you can learn and see with the leadership of the staff, and officers that give the time, life and direction to giving you the best chance in life not just to move forward in military life but life itself. to all that read this I want you to think on where you are in your young life and take that step with your family and let us THE United States Naval Sea Cadets welcome you take that step YOUR LIFE WILL FOR EVER BE CHANGED.

The Naval Sea Cadets changed me and provided me with opportunities I did not have before. In Puerto Rico, where I came from, JROTC is only available in private military schools, so I looked for a different option. That option came from the Naval Sea Cadets, and I am glad I joined. As a member of the 10th Caribean Division, I attended Sea Cadet Basic training and was mentored by amazing people. Now, after having served for 24 years in the Army, I decided to to become a JROTC instructor and a Naval Sea Cadet Instructor. If you are a mentor in the program, I want to thank you.

Advice to new cadets for RT:
-don't do anything to stand out
    -only ask ABSOLUTLY NECCESARY questions
    -address people properly
-get as much as possible out of the experience. Don't resent it.

Sea Cadets is an incredible experience for those who want to join the military. It gives cadets so many opportunities with the US Military and working alongside peers with similar interests. It is difficult, but it is worth it. If you want to join, I suggest finding a local unit. They will be the best at providing hands on information about Sea Cadets in your area and how it can make a difference in your life. Check out www.seacadets.org for more information on that.
