He is very well respected singer in China, Gaining many awards from the big platforms. He is very special artist that is so versatile and also He owns the stage!!! I really wish he can be known more outside China.
Hua Hua always surprise me in his music as you never know what he will do in the next. He is such a versatile & talented singer/artist/performer/composer. His music is so amazing & unique! Love him as always! 🌸🌸👍💪💞💖😊
No, as a matter of fact he's the most influential singer in China since preforming on I am singer. His music is symbolic most of the time.
He is a genius who conveys his passion & life choices through a sheet of paper & transforms it to be relatable for himself but also for those that listen with more than their ears.
If you haven't listened to ALL of his performances,please do bc you'll see how versatile he is & how with some pieces, you have to listen so careful to understand the underlying message.

Too bad you didn't hear this without all of the interruptions because he built this song beautifully. Each of his songs has such incredible transitions from one moment to the next. You are right, he is entirely unpredictable, his repertoire contains endless variety. He always surprises and impresses us. I've never known a better or more exciting performer. After watching him for years, I can honestly say that I have never for one moment been disappointed in him. I honestly consider him a musical genius. I think most people do. The critics love him, and one older singer from China said that HuaHua was the hope of the future of Chinese music. I only wish his influence could be felt more in the West. Thank you for doing your part to see that it is. Your enthusiasm is appreciated.

He is a great artist, and I highly recommend his (Dad, I'm back) this song to you! This song tells the standpoint of many children who have been hurt by domestic violence! Another song called (I really want to love this world) is written for people with depression! Really touched! I hope you can do the reaction of these songs !🙏🏻

Hello, cool reaction to this rearranged cover rearranged in Hua's unique style! HuaHua designs his stages very carefully, he asked Tommy, a very famous guitarist also working with The Singer's orchestra to come forward here. I don't think HuaHua is underrated, he's one of the top musicians/performers in China, gathering his slew of awards every year and getting famous in the west without having ever set foot outside of China, except for holidays of course.
Just so to take him out of this Singer 2018 box, I hope you would react next to HuaHua's most recent performance, ==> Flying Conductor, this is the theme song of a new video game that he first sang last weekend during the Peace Elite Games, a yearly video game competition that HuaHua won against other professional gamers, Flyiing Conductor is powerful and energetic as is the main character in the game, you can find the video on Hua Chenyu English Subs channel, THANKS! Great reaction! This is one of my more favorite songs. The finger movements he does when rapping is just something that happens. Personally, I think it's his natural mnemonic device that helps him with cadence and flow. Although it's a cover (because of the Singer rules that year), it is his own re-arrangement. Also, the "rap and lyrics" part in the middle is something he added. I don't use the term genius lightly when it comes to Hua Chenyu. His compositions are amazing and he's incredibly versatile. If you want to watch something different, I would suggest two songs. Nanping Evening Bell ua-cam.com/video/GvKzmSUOo88/v-deo.html and Perhaps Love ua-cam.com/video/Qf6jT-Teelo/v-deo.html. Both have English subs. This was from the show The Next, where Hua was the mentor to Su Shiding. Each episode, the challenger gave them a song and Hua had 24 hours to arrange, stage, and perform it with her. Tommy is great, isn't he? I've watched all of Singer 2017, 2018, and 2020 and he's an incredible guitarist. I look forward to more reactions! Thanks!
He's underrated outside China, I hope he can create some English songs in the future so more people can know this hidden gem.

@Gogglebox And in China, record companies and show beesnes operate just as well as in the west. Don't be afraid Hua Hua knew what world he was going into, he was a grown man and he knew a bit of the mainstream music world after Super Boy. He must have had some sense when signing various contracts, otherwise record companies would have destroyed him more than made him a Chinese star. However, it is more difficult to break into the world market, and the more so as China's policy does not correspond to that of, for example, the USA. I always ask myself what star from Asia and Africa made it to the mainstream of the USA? As sometimes I see it, hardly anyone will make it out of Europe and it is mostly England or Spain, even Latin America has problems promoting its stars in the mainstream world. And as for Dimash and his performance in "The World`s Best", it is another fairy tale tied with who knows what: politics, showbees and controversies. You really don't know what was going on there, because what was seen on TV is only "one side of the coin" and believe me there is for sure "the other side of the coin".
@Gogglebox I always wondered about that too. If he is contradictory in China, I can’t imagine what kind of treatment he would get in China. I wish Lady Gaga could introduce him or other prominent musicians. But for sure hope Hua Hua NEVER participated in any kind of competitions. He should just be a guest performer.
@Gogglebox Oh, I have a different opinion. The world music industry is similar, not only the US is destroyed. I do not go into it, because it is so complicated that the gray man does not even realize what and who is pulling the strings. Those you mentioned are also pulled by strings.
And Hua and Dimash are not so poor. I respect their abilities, but they do well in the mainstream. And what you can see that someone is injured, it will be found with every artist. As the world of music from the USA or Great Britain is sometimes faced, there are a few mainstream artists who can sing perfectly. But so like in China and elsewhere there will be Celebrities who can only have face, not skill.
About his hands movement when he was rapping, he said that that is his beats, it just came out like that. He said when he is rapping, his mind is blank, and the hands just came out like that. 😂

Nice to hear appreciation for this great singer/songwriter. If I am not mistaken Wayfarer is a cover although Hua Chenyu always rearranges the song and makes them his own. Please watch some more recent Hua Chenyu stuff, some of his original songs. From what you have said, I think you would really enjoy Aliens (an older song), Jackdaw Boy, or Bullfighting (more recent). My personal favorite right at this point in time though is I Really Want to Love this World but this changes depending on what is going on in my life.

He has never deliberately promoted his music in foreign countries, but still got some international fans which is very valuable. A musical genius like Hua will not be hidden forever. I think there will be more people who really appreciate his music. Quality is more important than quantity because he is a real artist, not an ordinary mainstream singer.

I believe that a real artist usually has a problem in the mainstream. However, if someone discovers Hua Hua and is delighted with his works, he can appreciate this art.
However, he made decisions and signed contract (s) with record companies in China.

Not an underrated singer, he is just not that interested in world fame. So far at least. He is tough as steel, though and would probably make it if he tried. You have to be to survive and thrive in the toxic chinese music industry for so many years. But a slightly underrated performance.
Mainstream and underestimating artists is normal, not only in China. Worse, there are real musical treasures such as Hua Hua and they can't stand out even in their own country. And who really appreciates Hua Hua's art understands its value, it's just a pity that it often doesn't translate into the artist's work.

Creativity must have movement. Stare at a blackboard for 8 seconds and your brain shuts down. Hence, dumbed down America (well, USA).
So we people of the States cannot recognize genius. Hua Chenyu did try out on some American program and they dissed him. Also, Dimash because of his ethics.
So I've given up on American mainstream music. Very boring.
Glad to have some foreign groups come in. Funny how surprised our audiences are that there is talent out there in the world. I think that is arrogance. Oh well.
