This trail at Pine Island is around 2.5 miles with two sound overlook areas. In that area, I would also recommend Currituck Banks Reserve, Duck Boardwalk, Nags Head Woods, Alligator National Wildlife Refuge, and Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge. Thanks for following!
@@WillFreundMedia Anytime my friend! Always looking to support fellow hikers. Appreciate the info and will look into these spots. There is a ton of places to hike and explore on my channel that might interest you. Would love to hear your feedback!
I don't remember if you answered this back when you first were on the water, but any reason for starting down in FL as opposed to up "north" considering you're in NC?
To be honest, I am not sure if I did and that's a great question. The reason I chose to start in Florida was to follow summer north. If I had started in North Carolina in March, the weather and the water would have been way too cold to be safe, as well as the prevailing winds would have been against me. Now when I finish in Norfolk, it will be a short drive home.
Looks like a relaxing place to hike! How long is this trail? Any other spots in this area that you would recommend? Now following #239

@@WillFreundMedia Makes sense, I'm on the GA coast and the water is perfect so you've definitely got the right idea.
