Here’s an idea for a project; make it as fast as you can without any power mods. That’ll be a challenge but I reckon with a car like that it’ll be great fun.
The old lady that lives next door has the straight 6 modle I want it so bad it's a perfect example of well looked after . No rust every scratch gets treated and repainted by her son who does body work for BMW and someone stole the cat so it sounds amazing at the moment
I've just done 5000 miles in on one of these in the last 8 months with no issues, there is the customary oil leak but it's actually great fun to drive. Lucky perhaps but now paid for itself
There is another one 316ti with the N40. My father owns one, and it's solid car. Now, it has payload of 525kg on the boot, plus another 75 on the roof (with a rack of course), and maximum towing capacity of 1300kg with braked trailer. If you want, you can easily haul 2t with it. About handling: it can cruise, supercruise, carve a mountain, and if the driver has the cojones, it can do some offroading.
A track car project with proper modding (2.5 engine swap) and a new paintjob would be really cool to see! Maybe something to challenge Phil around a track!?
I have my 320 td Compact for 6 years now. Apart of that, that every single garage tries to take advantage, pumping prices up for repair and parts, the car itself is a reliable sh*t box, which will look after the driver if the driver look after it... I love my car and I love the enjoyment which it brings me back...
Track Day Challenge against Ethan and his Z3, Alex can do the same mods as Ethan but can Alex’s driving skill bridge the gap. Will Ethan’s increasing skill behind the wheel keep him ahead.
not sure what your budget is for tuning/modifying the car but if you have the money how about an LS3 crate engine, new air intake/filter, wrap the car in a white wrap, some nice 5 spoke alloys in black, straight pipe exhaust with square exhaust tips, lower the suspension and upgrade the brakes

But they paid the asking price. To say it after that is treason or whatever
NICE! Now do a E46 Coupe front conversion so it looks like a true E46 :p
The compact can still give modern BMWs a run for their money. When it comes to questionable design choices
A BMW wow who would have guessed. 😂😂
>RWD Hatchback
>Alex literally stains his pants ever time he sees a German car
Of course we all knew it’d be a BMW.
@@johnjuiceshipper4963 Yeah I'm not sure what I expected! 😂
never seen him exited by anything VAG though
@@johnjuiceshipper4963 the amount of BMWs on this channel is mind numbingly painful
I think it’s going to be e46 compact
And can already tell it’s gonna be a banger
There is another one 316ti with the N40. My father owns one, and it's solid car.
Now, it has payload of 525kg on the boot, plus another 75 on the roof (with a rack of course), and maximum towing capacity of 1300kg with braked trailer. If you want, you can easily haul 2t with it.
About handling: it can cruise, supercruise, carve a mountain, and if the driver has the cojones, it can do some offroading.
My E46 Ci started to rust as well, i'm crying in the corner everytime I take a look how far it progressed this month / year / etc
Just imagine how long it would take if they made a rust compilation of Rust it would be LONG
“Any idea what it is?”
Doesn’t help that you had the exact same car behind when you asked...
I knew it would be that just by looking at the title
Me too😂
Literally one at the back of shot in the first 30 seconds 😂
Literally every CT video has a BMW
A track car project with proper modding (2.5 engine swap) and a new paintjob would be really cool to see! Maybe something to challenge Phil around a track!?
I have my 320 td Compact for 6 years now. Apart of that, that every single garage tries to take advantage, pumping prices up for repair and parts, the car itself is a reliable sh*t box, which will look after the driver if the driver look after it... I love my car and I love the enjoyment which it brings me back...
If this isn't turned into a project build series I'll be disappointed
7:38 that's a e36 tho.
@Do One love your reply 🤣🤣🤣
“Can Ethan drift an E46 316ti compact” would be killer😂
welded diff and maxpeedingrods time
He would probably break the differential how much you'll bet?
@@imputazzTV pretty hard to break a diff unless its not welded correctly
I'm talking about stock diff it's do weak
@@imputazzTV you cant break an unwelded diff
Track Day Challenge against Ethan and his Z3, Alex can do the same mods as Ethan but can Alex’s driving skill bridge the gap. Will Ethan’s increasing skill behind the wheel keep him ahead.
Go on alex I’ve got an imola red compact 316ti same as you, love mine so much at 66,000 miles big improvement over a little fezza
No more bmw pleaseee I see them even when I sleep
Agreed
Do a "Why you should consider the Compact"
My words when I saw what it was. “Another E46, really?”
At least, ostensibly, this one isn't a rot box.
I can agree sooooo many bmw's hade enough of those
Agreed
not sure what your budget is for tuning/modifying the car but if you have the money how about an LS3 crate engine, new air intake/filter, wrap the car in a white wrap, some nice 5 spoke alloys in black, straight pipe exhaust with square exhaust tips, lower the suspension and upgrade the brakes
Turn it into a "Compact cup challenge " car!
