very smart on technics part to basically add the optical sensors to the same design of the original SH and DX CrossFaders thankfully with the invention of non contact faders this revolutionized the DJ mixer world.. I always wondered what their design looked like and they kept it very cost effective for themselves. this is a cool piece of dj history… great content
@@DOPEZ1200 very clever design honestly to simply add the optical sensors on top of the original fader .. i always love looking back at the previous mixer designs that helped pave the way for todays standards.. i always wanted this EX version i had the SH version and i loved it but i bored through the crossfaders in less than a month plus they were a nightmare to replace..

Yes it is ! The two black pieces that are above the fader are the optical sensors
