If you're an actual musician/producer you literally can't clown X. It goes against the code. The code is we all do it for the music and music only. That means for the fairness of other musicians we must support each other's creation. For the greater good of music, we should motivate each other so we all can make great music. In truth, I'm not even a fan of X, I haven't been a fan for 4 years. But it doesn't matter. As I'm a former sound engineer and an all music genre enjoyer gigachad, I want to support any musicians that are doing it with no malicious intent.

He doesn’t need to learn theory he just needs to learn the notes(which ig is basic theory but it’s not what you’ll get it u search it up online). Theory was completely useless for me and imo you are way better off just putting time in struggling and messing around to learn it naturally rather than trying to figure out theory.

I think once he becomes more comfortable with the software and he gets a rare day where his ADHD doesn't carry him off, he may start dropping some Susumu Hirasawa-type beats.
He gets frustrated too easily. Sometimes you have to let it flow and add/subtract in a subtle matter. Not bad at all overall considering the starting point though.

Then you'd start to get into making your own drums with your own transients and tails cause just pitching it down or up without getting into Edison and how that works is a nightmare when he can't even say what key the samples he's using are in. Obviously it's important, but I think what I meant by my satirically aggressive comment is that even if this comment somehow made it to x's lap, it wouldn't be helpful to him in the slightest. It might be obvious to "someone who's worth their salt" or w/e, but he's learning. I didn't even learn to key my kicks until a few months ago, and I'm more than capable.
