This entire display is beautiful . Once upon a time SOAPS were more than just an after thought. The entire 80s & early 90s SOAPS ruled. They also presented productive training & meaningful consistent opportunities. As a performer I am sorry this energy is fading away. This was a beautiful and expensive showing of daytimes long gone days. 😢
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I'd seen some clips of this episode before but not the whole thing (the scenes with Ava - one of my favorite characters - are all new to me), and not that lovely closing theme. What a treat.
This could have been the first episode to use the Johnny Mathis theme and new opening visuals. Most sources say that these made their debut on Monday, March 27, 1989. The episode must be prior to the Rome storyline, which was May to June of that year.
I think you're lacking the logic, my friend. Loving may have had some memorable points, but it was largely considered to be an inconsistent soap and it was never a ratings powerhouse. General Hospital had golden eras from 1979 through 1988 (when it was #1) and again from 1993 to 1999 when ratings rose again and it was winning many awards.

Omg! Rena Sofer was so young. And her eyes are as blue as ever. And she still has the dimples.
Yes she a beautiful woman ❤❤😊😊
Wow! Looking at the comments of nostalgia for Soap Operas coming from men is quite surprising.
This is my childhood. I watched it without understanding any English.

@@VaultMasterDBT The Home Show promo from this episode seems to be from March 30, so I assume this episode is as well.
@@kengeorgejones6855 Gotcha. So this must have been the fourth episode to use Mathis.

Loving only had good ratings in international markets, like Italy.
