I really don't remember this soap opera, I was in highschool when this came out a senior. I watched certain soaps back then during the summer of 89 and 90. Edge of night, Days of our lives, and another world but also I would go back n forth between another world and guiding light
Thanks for the upload !! Nice to see Linda Gibbony.. After Santa Barbara..And George D. After days of our lives.. After he was shot dead and Killed in 1987 on days.. xd
After AMC,Linda went to SFT as Jenny Deacon for a year & a half. After a year away from soaps, she moved to the West Coast and joined Santa Barbara as Gina DeMott (soon to be Capwell). After 15 months, she asked to be let out of her contract due to the grueling work schedule and she was replaced by soap vet Robin Mattson in Dec 1985 & she played the role for over 7 years until SB was cancelled in Jan 1993. Interestingly enough,Generations was taped in the same studio as Santa Barbara (NBC Studio 11 in Burbank),but since it was only a half hour show, Linda didn't have the long hours there that she did on SB & agreed to take the role when it was offered to her. She joined in Aug 1989,replacing Barbara Rhodes and stayed on until the final episode in Jan 1991. Generations turned out to be Linda's final soap role and her last acting appearance was in 1992 on Married With Children as Bud Bundy's sexy teacher. She left acting after that to teach drama at UCLA and I believe she is still there. Saw a photo of her on Facebook from 2016 and she still looks pretty much the same & same hairstyle too :)
First of all I love Linda gibboney as Jessica but she did not stay to the end of generations she was replaced by Dorothy Lyman ex opal all my children ok
@@tonyhassan2327 No, Dorothy played Rebecca Whitmore (replacing Pat Crowley, who left nearly a year before) in the final month of Generations. Also 1989 thru 1992 I was on a Days boycott. I didnt come back until Marlena and Roman(Wayne) returned. Also I got into GL from 89 thru 95. GH was horrible and Santa Barbara started their decline and was gone by 1993.
This is all I have and the next time I look through my tapes,I’ll see what I have, but don’t expect much and please in the future,I would appreciate not being asked if I have something. I post whatever I can find and if possible upload,I don’t take requests.
No,I do not. I didn't write down any exact dates on my tapes back then, only the year and these were recorded from BET which aired reruns of Generations in 1992.
I just wish they would bring this series out of DVD.
I love this soap opera, watch this on NBC Daytime.

If I had the money I’d start up a new soap channel and Generations would be one of the soaps I’d run
Please add all the old and forgotten soaps
I loved Generations! They should have sandwiched it between Days and Another World. More please if you have it!
Days should've been canceled instead
This was originally from November 20-24, 1989.
Thanks for sharing. Kindly upload more if you have them.
love it

@@tonyhassan2327 you are mistaken. Patricia Crowley was replaced by Ms. Lyman as Rebecca, not Ms. Gibboney who portrayed Jessica.
Loved this show sally Sussman Moria wrote it and Created it, Blasted ratings got it ! it was on from 12:30-1 here in the East

It was cuz of that naxzema commercial I started using it n loved it ever since
Doreen and Jessica should've had some kind of storyline interaction. They were both powerhouses on screen!
Dang what an ending

I believe this episode is from Friday, November 24, 1989.
It is good to know. Thanks for the info.
Ruth buying the Whitmore estate was the only interesting storyline on that show. In fact, her character is very interesting.
