Loved, loved your tortillas. I am Mexican and I often make flower tortillas, some times large ones for burritos, or smaller for tacos, but always usevegetal lard or butter. It is wonderful you keep the tradition and share your amazing skills with everybody. Thanks
Awesome thanks for watching!
Thank you, Sue and Warren.
Im now a stay at home dad, I'll start making tortillas for the family.
Thanks, guys!
My 1st tortillas were thoroughly enjoyed, and the family ate it all. 👍

Awesome enjoy them!
Thanks for this great video! My Navajo son loves tortillas and I tried a long time ago but mine were tough and sort of shaped like Texas. These came out great! Now he won’t have to rely on visits to my in-laws to have tortillas 🤣
Hahah
Hi Sue , I'm subscribed to several native vloggers well Navajos mainly and that's what I noticed that the tortillas were thick, So you did the Apache version as well, I'm Pima from Gila River and our tortillas are even thinner and large ,"large and thin" really no right or wrong just how each tribe makes them ,My husband comes from the Creek Nation from Oklahoma they don't do tortillas and the first time I ever had their fry bread it was small this is how I described it to my parents when I wrote home (back in the 70's) "picture a donut with out a hole" it was good just made different, thank you for the tutorial on two different ways on making tortillas. Be waiting for the next vlog.
Amazing how they are soft and there was no lard. Good work!
Thank you for watching
Those look delicious. I am gonna try both of them. Thank you for sharing and looking forward to the future video's.

Hi Sue & Warren!
Sue, you make ur tortillas like my, the way ur tribe makes it. My hubby likes the way I make it. Yes, I make thin too, but 2 teaspoon of salt and half TBSP of baking powder and a third cup of lard.
It comes out really good.

Yumm looks delicious. Thanks for sharing Sue .
I had never thought of doing it your way when the pan is too small. Your idea would work far better than my remedy was. They look beautiful. I never knew they could be made without lard or a fat, yet they look exactly the same, and think I'd like to try it without. Thank you for sharing your cooking skills and family humor!

Hi Sue and Warren! My name is Winter Song(Pupon Kutomáwôk) and I am from the Montauk Tribal Nation of Long Island, New York and we are of the Turtle Clan. We make FryBread but not Tortillas, and your Tortillas look so GOOD!! oh my goodness!! They look so amazing, Thank you so much for the recipes on how to make it because I'm going to try the tortillas with our 3 Sisters(Corn, Beans, Squash) Sautée or Stew. I want to add Buffalo to it and try it with the 3 Sisters flavors on your Tortillas. I am super excited! We were raised on seafood because our Tribe is on the Shinnecock Territory Bay by the Shinnecock Reservation. so we ate good. But I just wanted to say from my Algonquin language Táput ni nitôpak, Manito wuyônumiq tà kônkicáq. Mus kunawuyumúw( Thank you friends, God bless you and be well. See you all soon💜

Omg! How funny, I have restarted saving food plastic container recently, but to use for starting seedlings 🌱. I confess sometimes they end up in the fridge for leftovers. Thanks for your video, you guys are awesome, I really enjoyed learning how to make these tortillas.
Wow I always wondered how apaches did there tortillas because they were thing and big. I have a family member who was married to an Apache and we use to visit. Loved the bread, I love the Navajo tortilla too. Usually love putting peanut butter one it and drink with tea. 😋

Hi there....
I make tortillas the Apache way, my grandpa was an Apache, everyone always wondered why my tortillas were so thin & good. Thanks for sharing! ❤❤
New sub from Darwin’s channel
Awesome thank you
My first time watching your channel. Apache and Navajo tortillas title caught my attention. By listening to you. I’m wondering if you’re an Apache tribe.
I was laughing because in a lot of Mexican households people recycle containers. I used to get mad when I wanted butter only to find my mom used the container to put her salsa in. When I got my first job, I made sure to buy my mom actual Tupperware 🤣
The Tupperware was always in the cupboard as if being saved to be antiques one day.
How interesting. So the less baking powder, the more it looks like Mexican tortillas. 🧐. I worked with the Pima (now TO) years ago, and they add lard to their dough & they cook it on some tractor implement (back in the early 80s anyway). I was always leery of eating bread that had lard in it & cooked in lard. 😂. I guess I still do. I do add shortening when I’m making biscuits though. Thank you for sharing your tortilla expertise.
Not all use lard, I use shortening for my tortillas n some use oil ( veg, canola etc.)
Tortillas, yummy!
Can you show us how to make oven bread?
Only 13 more subs to a grand🥳🥳🥳💣
Chema bread looks good..
Man yall are making me crave tortillas.. lol
Mmmm home cook tortillas 👍👌😀
Slap on commodity cheese on that hot tortilla. Mmm. My sack lunch included raisins in the tortilla dough. PBJ on the raisins tortilla. Mom used to make that treat once in awhile. I love butter on hot tortilla with hot tea. Better yet, make white gravy, roll hot tortilla and dip. It's awesome. They are all delicious. Thks for shearing. I just found you. Apache name focused my attention. I might have some Apache lineage.
Man I hate looking for butter and having to go through 4 Country Crock tubs of old leftover! LOL
I never seen the side of the pan cooking techinque, it works.
I love that flat cast iron pan, I really want one but a little bigger.
Great VLOG, I subed watching the other Rez-Fav!!!!
I sent you a e-mail hope you received it 👍🏽👍🏽I make Apache tortillas every once in a blue moon. I like homemade tortillas they are treat when make them.

She says it's not hard. It was easy when I learn. I learned when I was watching it the first time I seen it down." But like okay KAREN 😂 that's you not me
