    Art has nothing to do with how educated you are. It's about how the art makes you feel. It's a visceral thing. There are many styles of art. Everyone gravitates towards a specific aesthetic, Swizz clearly has his. One man's trash is another man's treasure (and if you consider the price tags on these things, they are essentially treasures). I want you all to look at Mark Rothko paintings that fetch up to north of $150 million, it will make you feel that many of those people who acquire them are uneducated, yet they went to Ivy League schools. It boils down to my initial point: It's about viscerality. Not about what you necessarily visually see upon the moment of encountering the piece. Leave Swizz alone, he is on the right track. Not only that, he is making investments that will always ensure that he will have financial wealth (and be able to experience the joys of having majestic human creations around him and his family). Stop being miserable, dull, dim witted and ignorant people who hide behind keyboards in order to be a dick with no sufficeable point to make. Shut up and watch if you don't have anything sensible to say. Morons.

    I did not see price tags under Victoria Beckham's art that was shown in another segment of this series - why was it done here? Nice collection btw.

    What i don't get is why are you selling these pieces if you're never gonna be able to buy them again. Doesnt make sense unless you're strapped for cash or are tired of the pieces. I never understood that. I wouldn't anything i truly loved. So he obviously doesn't love it like he claims to.

    This man is astonished by nothing. I think he is just a wannabe. Collective what you love.. seeing him be influenced by nothing, seeing him having to want to show what others would like to see as art in his home shows you exactly where this mans heart is when it comes to art.

    He still has no eye for true art. He's not educated or informed enough to truly see.

      This is easily one of the dumbest comments ever uttered where art is concerned. Everyone has a eye for art. How/why is this? Because everyone knows what they like. You don't have to have a degree in Art History to appreciate art. That's not to say that a art education isn't valuable. It is. It gives you the ability to understand art from a historical point of view as well as a understanding of the context of the work. But beyond that, everyone has to decide for themselves what and why they are drawn to a work. I have no interest in Jackson Pollack's work. Does that mean its let's important or valuable? Of course not. There are people that love his work. If you buy according to what the critics deem important, you'll grow to resent the work, because you are not buying it because you enjoy it.

      Most collectors don't have an "eye" they just buy. At least he likes what he buys and it's not an investment.

    The "hype point'?
    Is that where you run around in a pink raincoat and ripped jeans acting like you really have something to say when in fact you don't?
    Is that it?

    • @MyAkachi
      @MyAkachi 6 років тому +4

      He's saying that when he started collecting, he was following whatever was assumed to be trendy, but now he tries not to do that anymore. What are you dissatisfied about?

      MyAkachi "run around in a pink raincoat and ripped jeans acting like you really have something to say when in fact you don't"
      That. How did you miss it?

      @MyAkachi, @salmonline is one of those broke haters who ramble about everything and anyone who tries to genuinely enjoy the beauties of art

      gnarmarv2 Wow... imagine you using the word "ramble" in that comment...

      salmonline, Why are you assuming that what he says isn't worth saying and isn't valued? Your comment says more about your personal state of mind than his, the pleasure you take in hating Swizz Beatz is disgusting.
