Great video … I know it’s a year later .. but turn one your bmp’s fire all 8 but isn’t it the rule you can’t shoot over your own armour ? So the back 4 bmps couldn’t have shot that turn ?
Great to see you guys back with TY... really thought the Czechs were going to take this after turn 2.... that artillery in the first couple of turns..wow. M1A1s proving their salt, sadly A10s don't meet they lofty standards we expect/hope. Really enjoyed that.
The swarm of the czechs on attack really do make them look great after their turn one fusilade. but their stats and paper armour see that ability degrade rather quickly.
I wish team Yankee had some of the Asian factions of the Cold War Era like North/ South Korea, Indonesia, China, and Vietnam. Plus, it isn't an Asian country, but I find it weird that Italy isn't present at all.
As always, great report. Glad to see you doing more TY. Question though... In Turn 1 how did you get 8 BMP shots? Weren't the second rank screened by the front 4 BMPs?
The Czechs started with the advantage in this battle, but squandered it by ignoring the M1A1s and allowing him to repeatedly shoot up their back end (eliminating a whole unit of T-72Ms in one turn was lucky though). The Czechs probably should've dropped a unit of tanks, converted into a single battalion and taken a supporting unit of BTR-60 Infantry with Spigots firing from one of the buildings, as well as exchanged the second unit of Gophers for ZSUs to give them more dual function. The Americans list is solidly built apart from one out of place unit - the A10s. Since your reserves are accounted for these should've been exchanged for maximum ITVs (4 pairs) and upgrading your Mortars to M109s. A defensive battle plan might've given you some Minefields and more distance at the start to deal with so many tanks, but that's a moot point considering the outcome of this game.
This is why people look at this game an laugh. The initial deployment looks so silly. I like this game a lot, but it just does not work at this scale for horde armies.
Thanks for the cool battlereport. I really 3njoy your games.
Finally, some great Team Yankee content

Great battle report guys!👍
Thank you!

Missed the team yankee content we need more
You should have gotten rid of that platoon of 4 M113s in the woods as soon as you could.
This is cool I've never heard of this game.
It a 1:100 scale wargame centering on the cold war going hot
@@BlitzMinis that's really my jam. I should check this out.
Welcome to the party!

I had the same query, you need a tape width gap to see past own vehicles for shooting
Oh, because i am firing on targets on tall terrain in a elevated position. Hence the team in front dont block
@@BlitzMinis Makes sense. I guess that wasn't apparent from the camera angle. Again, great content. Thanks.
At last! Great video!

Nice Table and Report. But next time you can play on a 8"X6" Table?
The competitive game is played on 6x4 so we normally stick to that. Though yeah i think 8x4 would be awesome and allow for better options

yeah the level of abstraction required isn't for everyone
Exactly, the board needs to much bigger for this scale. Looks good at 15/6mm but at 28 it looks hilarous
