1. Attend lecture (with airplane mode) and take notes, and read afterwards
2. Read textbook (underline the whole sentences). After reading a paragraph, ask yourself what's the most important sentence?
3. Summarize the highlighted textbook (make notes)
4. Real studying of the notes (learn by heart) using teacher method (as if you are explaining to others).
5. Past papers (write down your answer)
*200 pages a day (tho tired)

As a law student, I study my textbook in a similar way as yours
Besides, after finish a whole paragraph, I also take a short summary at the margin
It helps me when I go back to the paragraphs. Sometimes I don’t even have to reread the paragraph again, I just can remember the content of what’s the main points of this paragraph. Save lots of study time!

What's the use of those sticky notes for important lines?
Humayra Fairooz Khan I would summarize the important details on the sticky note and attach to the printed lecture slides. That would be the second time I read the same contents. For me, i could roughly remember every important details at this stage. Before the exams, I just review with that the lecture slide with my notes and do the practicing exams. That’s all. It’s a time-consuming work. Disclaimer: This way might only work for me, and it’s my own studying style. You could figure out the way suits your the most for sure.
BTW I like how you study on your desk and while wearing nice clothes ...I usually study on the bed and in home clothes
Elizabeth El not exactly a good idea to study in bed it is scientifically proven that this routine may confuse your brain into thinking u need for sleep which distracts as u may fall asleep and also this may contribute to sleep problems for the same reason (hope this helps wasn’t meant to offend u I use to do the same thing)
munaf gaurd it's is either bed or floor for me ...I don't lie down for God's sake I simple sit on it ...either way I feel more sleepy if I study on my desk so ...the study doesn't apply to me .

@@Sarah-rc1mh for me a exam in English is coming up. I've been trying to study on subjects I'm bad at so I understand it better and its been going great. I live in the horrid place named America but grew up in a traditional Mexican family. Thank you for asking as well.

If I just got home from school then yeah, I wear my what I wore to school but most of the time im just wearing pjs haha. Btw this outfit is comfy as well so i didn't mind :)

I have to get dressed up to study, because it gives me that feeling of "I'm doing something". If i wear comfy clothes i will feel like im in my relaxed mode and I will slack off.

Just take a sheet of lined paper, go over lines w black pan, put the sheet under the paper you want to write on and you ll se the lines.

This video was so motivating! This is my last year in school before university so is a very hard one. Tomorrow I finish my last final and after it I have a month to prepare for the university exam. Lately I have been feeling very unmotivated, not only because I am exhausted but also because I have not had the results I wanted, after working so so hard 😔 I hope my teachers can appreciate how much time and effort I’ve invested in my grades and raise my marks.... I love your channel because I see myself very represented, you have a lot of discipline and so do I, therefore when I’m feeling low like today I like to watch one of your videos and they instantly put me in a better mood. Try reading motivational quotes and keep away all distractions
Try the forest app! It locks your phone for some time so you can't use it
Try study with me vlogs that are regular. It's like a study partner studying with you. Helped me a lot.
I really like that you are from the Netherlands. I feel more confident to watch you video’s than from American or UK students!

I am 9th grader right now and i have the exact study routine since i was 11 or a 6th grader. Marking important points, making notes, rereading them is really helpful. I make my notes quite before the exams and a day before the exams all I need to do is just go through the notes and I already remember everything. i am gonna take up the field of law after high school so I wanted to see a new routine but this is exactly like mine. And more importantly, this method works very well. So yeah even though this method is very time consuming, it works like a charm. This method is helpful, because of this method I have stood first throughout middle school and till now. Must try

Okay here some tip
1.write all the sub topic down
2.close ur book and write what ,why ,how ,when and keep doing it till u finish the sub topic
3.do it for 20 min and stop break at break make a plan on how u did and what left and keep doing it 20 min study break
4.i think should one but still see a autobiografy of ur mentor or someone who u look up too and want to like them
5.same time same place every day

The only problem for me is time. We have to spend the entire day in classes, ride back home by afternoon and after that the body gets so exhausted that can't even read a single paragraph let alone note. The bigger problem is the semester system, meaning, we have to finish a subject in less than 5 months. So, we only study to earn marks not for learning... Shitty.

that textbook is GIGANTIC OMG it looks so intimidating
but ty for a great studying video! can u make videos on tips/suggestions for ppl like me who aspire to go to law school or pursue a career in law? And also on how to read materials in a fast and efficient way? i have to read textbooks for ap classes but i'm always super slow and inefficient at reading those chapters and taking notes that it would take me 4 hrs to read the same numbers of pages comparing to my peers. Now as a future humanities major in college ik i'm gonna have to read more materials with a limited amount of time, and i need to balance academics with sleep and social, so any tips/help on this area would be very appreciated :)

I'm a law student in the US and it's actually quite different how we study! :) are your exams also 3 or 4 hours long, and open book, open notes?
Yeah the law system in the US is different than the ones in Europe, I think that's why we learn in different ways. Most of my exams are not open book or open notes so I really have to learn everything by heart. We do have a 'law book' which has all the laws in it and we are allowed to use that during the exams. And most exams are 2-3 hours long!

Yes it is, especially because most of the things I learn now will be outdated in a few years since the law changes so fast! Good luck to you too!
WaysToStudy I'm a law student from the Philippines, and I'm a little shocked that open books are allowed during your exams! Here, it's always closed book, not even our codals (that's what we call our "law books"). Also, during class lectures, most professors have a clean desk policy or handwritten notes only policy.
It's because the common law system is more case related so having an open book exam doesn't necessarily help as much as it would in a civil law system when it comes to passing the exam.

If you are not "super focused" during summarizing, why not change it into something more focused. This way you could potentially (maybe!) cut down your study time. Just wanted to get that thought out there.

As a law student « I have to learn a lot of books by heart » made me cringe, the first thing they tell you at uni is that you don’t have to learn anything by heart, you have to understand the mechanisms etc in France at least
Not a law student, but i am an undergrad accountancy students and our curriculum has some law subjects. I am currently studying law on partnership and corporate and i think i am falling in love of studying law. So i decided, after i graduate, i am going to study law.
If only I had good handwriting. I am literally the slowest writer so taking notes is impossible for me
