On this episode of The Skinny Confidential Him & Her, Michael and Lauryn are joined by survivor and counter human-trafficking specialist Coco Berthmann. Coco came on the show to share her story as a survivor of human trafficking and to discuss ways in which we can be aware of human trafficking and the human sex slave trade. This episode touches on many important and highly sensitive subjects.

She was my classmate. A very nice person, articulated and charismatic. She had serious psychological problems. Once she fainted in class...without a reason. She has a deeply addiction to seek attention. I've never believed her. I wonder what happened with her. I hoe she is seeking therapy after all these years.
She isn't seeking therapy because she's a sociopath. She bullied a lot of trafficking survivors like me, especially those of us with brown skin there was a lot they didn't cover in their podcast.. Coco literally is telling everyone she's the victim

She looks credible until you know her personally, then you see the real shady person she is. She’s so mean IRL.
You can tell they don’t believe her. They’re just letting her talk and talk because they know she’s lying. If they believed her they’d be more invested in the conversation by asking questions.

@@plugformixtapes I think they only “believed” her because they were worried to be eff’d up if it does turn out to be true but I can tell they knew. She was too happy and excited to share her horrific story. Try asking her to tell the exact same story and watch it change.
@@somegirl4961Actually the opposite. Coco’s stories with people personally changed all the time, but publicly she told this story verbatim every time. Literally you can line every podcast she did up, and she tells the exact same story, same jokes in the same place, same side notes. She rehearsed the hell out of her public story. It’s chilling.
Looks to me that they believed her and they were happy to have her come in and tell her INCREDIBLE story.

This is odd. I’m just getting into this story. It’s quite frightening she just makes things up as she goes along! She had access to the internet and television but didn’t think her situation was wrong? Her story is all over the place. These interviews are probably boiling inside. 😂

The way she has the balls to lie like this. I really do believe something terrible happened to her. Her dads comments really shook me up... like, he clearly has a history he was scared of popping back up. I feel for her so much, but I'm also furious. I know how it feels to not be believed, but most of us just shut down and shut up, not this 😞
He wasn't her dad, she lied about some seriously messed up crap and hurt real survivors, traumatized them. She could have told her "true" story whatever that may be and made a difference just as much as her fake story did. She went to survivors who really did go through these terrible things and took advantage of them and lied to them. She tarnished the name of innocent people who were so good to her. She's dangerous and it's hard to feel terrible for someone who did as much damage as she did and still keeps playing the victim to this day. This wont be the last we hear from her, she'll show back up with a new scam and scheme soon. TRust.
