Hey! You are a very inspiring and brave girl! I was wondering if you could make a video on hiking solo and different tips/ things to consider when trekking & adventuring alone. Enjoy the sunshine girl! :)
Great and very informative video and perfect timing I'm planning to hike the TRT in 2021. Rawlogy makes a cork ball that is very light weight and I love to use every day after a day of hiking.
I just loved your Tahoe Thru video's.. Im a 62 year old guy, your video inspired me and helped with just knowing alot more about a trip that I want to do.. I've never hiked for overnight, but now that I'm retired I want to challenge myself.. I think you should do the Tahoe Rim Trail again but go opposite direction.. probably dumb but your video's were very enjoyable.. Couple of question.. 1. How much propane do you need for the trip.. I have a jet boil also.. but if I was to do it in a 14-21 day trip.. How much did you go through.. 2. Do you think a Hammock could be used on this trip.. Thank you ,, love your channel.. Tom in Auburn, Ca..
Yes tent yoga please!! Would love to see it! Also quick question about the Guthook app. I’ve used hiking project in the past and it lets you dl maps of certain areas for free! It does seem like guthook has other features that mine doesn’t have.
Guthooks has way more! It’s literally the best thing I’ve ever used. If they have a map for any hike I do I’m using it for sure 🙌🏻 it’s specific for thru hikes though so there’s only a handful of hikes on it.
I’ve watched everything on trt and your videos have been super helpful. I’m suppose to start at the end of the month and I hope to complete it in 12-14 days. Thank you for the advice, as it’s made me way less fearful to do my first thru hike that’s longer than a week!
@@ArielleShipe I ended up finishing in 11 days (not counting to the zero day in tahoe city). Loved to hear what you had to say about campsites and water, both rang very true. Thank you for saying new backpackers should do this trail, that gave me the push I needed. I thought it was great experience and I was never far from help or water if I needed it. Please use the trail angels if you are going hiking!!! Would help with logistics and resupply.
Hi! I recently completed my first thru-hike as well, but on the JMT and I am looking to do another on the TRT as prep for the PCT. I'm just curious about the avg mileage/difficulty of the TRT. On the JMT I was able to do an avg of 12-15 miles a day, but my understanding is the TRT is more suitable for longer daily mileage. What did you think of the overall trail difficulty or elevation change? The Q&A was very helpful as well! Thank you :)
@@ArielleShipe and if you plan it right you can hit up the Tahoe City farmers' market on Commons Beach Thursdays from 8am-1pm (right across the street from Alpenglow).
We didn’t take any zeros but we did take about 12hrs off trail and stayed at Krissy’s house one night after she rolled her ankle ☺️ i think we would have been less beat up overall if we took one though haha
@@ArielleShipe with that being said. is there a lot of places to take a zero? to charge phone resupply .,etc? and is there cheap options? like motels or campgrounds to take a shower? thanks
tent yoga routine!! just got done with a thru hike in montana and I was feeling it for sure, this is a great idea!
It makes such a big difference!! I’ll add it to my video list 😊
You are an inspiration to me. I very much enjoyed your videos of your thru-hike. Your Q & A was very helpful. Look forward to your next hike (PCT).

You can always leave a drop at Alpenglow Sports in TC.
Another good reason to choose Tahoe city to resupply 🙌🏻

How much did you save to plan for this trip?
great video. did you ever take a zero or stayed in a hotel or campground while hiking the TRT?
