Incredible to see how much computing equipment you get just from your area, to be honest. You're doing the planet a huge service with your business, Ben! ❤
Wow Ben! What a huge step forward fella, money in the bank and loads of floor space uncovered! Keep it up champ, you’ll feel loads better once it’s done. Take care mate
god I enjoyed this show , just what my head needed to get my mind off all the bad stuff going on in the world thankyou Ben. stay safe and well and your food stuff topped up . till next time bye
Ben you never disappoint. Man, what an awesome haul ! And you still have so much more to do because the scrap never stop coming. It's mesmerizing to to see stacks upon stacks of boards, laptops, hard drives etc. It maybe tiring but it is well worth it in the end!👍👍👍 I don't see you retiring anytime soon Ben. Seems like when you talked about slowing down , looks like the work picked up even more!😁 Time to get cracking again !😜👍
OMG, just wish I could get my hands on some of those laptops and hard drives, I think I would be in heaven. Just seems such a shame as most of that waste would make me very happy as I love ❤️ tinkering with old tech trying to repair it and making it useful for someone again.
I live in Maine in the northeast and am a e-waste scrapper as well but im also a refiner too. Man those high grade boards in your garage I'd live to have those!!
Ben can we see more videos of you taking the chips off the motherboards, you always release great videos another load of parts have gone so it's start all over again keep up the great work.
Great stuff like always Ben! Have you ever thought of a concrete or metal ramp out back so you can roll items better? Lifting those bins probably sucks
Great pay out. I realize it's not economical to disassemble the hard drives but, I would have enjoyed getting the disks out of most of them, for an art project. I bought a box of about 30 to break down and melt the casing. Curious, when selling the bin of laptops, how much are they worth each?
Beware with old IBMs, there are glass based drives. Their plates can broke into shards, not bends. I think there are IBM branded disks, and later when IBM sold the hard drive businnes to Hitachi, then Hitachi's got the glass plates. They are rather old, i suppose ~15-20 years. But this is scrap, not brand new items.
I dont know what hard drives sell for as ewaste but i would have taken them all apart. The cases are cast aluminum and you could sell the magnets and other metals on it.
Hello eWaste Ben, we've become aware of your videos on how to pick up e-waste wherever you can, from the looks of it almost every week from many different customers or companies Pick up electronic waste. That's really great. How you do that ? Because me and my wife have been doing this for four years, but we repair the devices. Do you just make scrap of it or do you also prepare devices and how do you get so many devices? We also receive devices from companies a few times a year, but not as many as you. Do you perhaps have a tip for us? Have fun and we would be happy if you replied.
Keep in mind it’s based on your location. You’re thousands of miles away from him. He can’t give you a list of places near your house where you can get truckloads of free computers lol.
Does anyone know where I can see the last stage of ewaste recycling? Where they are recovering the gold, the copper & even the palladium. Do they used chemicals, heat or some other method of recovery?
And this is just what goes through the hands of one guy, in one relatively small country! The scale for larger countries, China, America, India, it boggles the mind.
Ben I got a question? If you buy a large load of boards instead of filing one of your orange bins can you just load then in the van and take some into the ewaste buyer?
My estimate is that 3 to 5 times value add could be made in separating the contained gold yourself. You need a shredder, a hammer mill and a shaker table ( 10 to 12 thousand for a basic set up), easy to operate, safe using a water separation, pour your own ingots or sell the concentrates for heaps more than what you are currently getting.
I had the same thought. It is so unecological to throw them away and recycle them. They should be reused. I bet, most of the PC mainboards would find a user an generate more money. I think the problem is, not having enough space.
@@marcelx8369 Unecological indeed, and generally a waste of possibly working tech. I know plenty of people including myself that would LOVE to have such a collection of tech, so we can properly refurbish and sell, or maybe even keep as vintage hardware.
@@ApollonTheGreek Your words in my mouth!! But it would be a space problem... You cant keep such amounts of electronic waste. And here in Germany it is also not so easy to get electronic waste, because we have to bring everything to local collect sites.
@@marcelx8369 Oh I see, so recycling/collection regulations are in the way as well. And space too, although there's plenty of tech ending up in landfills anyway so it takes up space regardless
Seeing those working mainboards flying into trash, makes a bit sad. Working material should try to be sold and reused instead of beeing shreded, Is there no possbility to sell it?
There are just too many to individually test and sell by themselves or in builds, as someone who sells used pc's for a living it hurts, but I understand that sure it would probably make you more money but the time expenditure would be crazy for that much stuff.
I guess that door was the Garage's toilet. Nobody is living outside anymore, uh?! Good cause. How many cats are roaming that yard?! 🗨😏🎭🏈📄🎭🕰 I don't know. Namastè.

Amazing how fast the weight adds up from hard drives. Great haul my friend.
I absolutely love this man. Atleast 75% of what I’m learning about Ewaste has come from Ben!! Thank you so much!
Hard work pays, mate! You're an example to many others of how to get your hands dirty and do the hard yards.
Love watching you no matter what you're doing Ben! 😊
I'm fascinated by what you do, IDK why but I am.
Every time you like don’t film videos in a while I get scared that you stop making videos but every time you always keep going good job
Ben.. your heart is GOLDEN
Wow Ben! What a huge step forward fella, money in the bank and loads of floor space uncovered!
Keep it up champ, you’ll feel loads better once it’s done.

You need a wooden step to get the tubs from the Garden up that small step
Hey Ben this should be a nice pay for you , I see you're hard worker

Great video my friend
That’s a lot of ore in those ore carts.
How do your bare hands not get ripped up by those boards, especially the undersides?!💪
👍
Damn that tup of Mobos... I could spen forever testing those lol
Really interesting stuff. Sad to see all that stuff being tossed around knoiwing it was once part of someone's expensive, coveted item.
Thank you
Could you give a by kilo breakdown cost for each type of board? You did that for AL and CU in the past
love it

It's rather sad seeing all these pieces of technology just getting scrapped, not gonna lie. Isn't there any of it refurbishable/repairable?
