Most Americans do NOT get to see ANY British shows, except for Ab Fab, in the past, which was loved by many. So this ‘holier than thou’ statement must be based on streaming. Perhaps they aren’t as funny or clever as you think they are.
All in the family?remake of a British original,in sickness and in health and til death is do part. So,you have watched Brit programs. They've just been remade,or watered down, for American taste
@@Trebor74 ‘based on’, is a different category all together. Yes, I knew that about All In The Family, as were others after that
@@Trebor74 it’s not watered down for American tastes, which sounds very arrogant, but with American characters discussing American situations.
"Perhaps they aren’t as funny or clever as you think they are" americans? totally agree :)
Americans who watched PBS, especially the Dallas station, over the last 50 years, nearly, have seen a great deal of UK shows other than reality shows, and panel shows.
ok ax
I love almost all these shows and I've been an American all my life. Gavin and Stacey, Spaced, and The Inbetweeners(uk) are in my top 10 fav shows of all time.
