There is a pattern.
And it is screaming.
This has Pattern Screamers written all over it. That last addendum even mentions that the video feed of the drone actually cut out past 17:59 into it, which was when it entered that black sphere. Which means anything seen in the feed past that point didn't actually exist. Which is exactly like that void in SCP-3930 that was covered in the Exploring Series' Pattern Screamers video.
So it looks to me like any time a civilization becomes advanced enough, it begins to discover voids like SCP-3930 that contains Pattern Screamers, and because they make the mistake of focusing too much attention to these voids, it gives the Pattern Screamers enough "real-ness" to crawl out and wreak havoc, leading to SCP-3426.

One theory I heard is that the post-threshold feed is what pattern-screamers themselves perceive of reality when forced to exist. The dream-or-nightmare-like unreality, filled with hints of it's falsehood. This is why they scream.
Pattern Screamers are damn terrifying answer to the Fermi Paradox, ngl. This whole SCP has "Pattern Screamers" plastered all over it, especially the part about the drone that disappeared.
It seems like at a certain point in their development most/all civilizations discover these SCP-3930 like "voids" and as that discovery spreads, they become more unstable and allow Pattern Screamers to crawl out of them and unmake these civilizations, possibly turning them into Pattern Screamers as without people to perceive them they cease to be.
And if you cannot remain calm and do not kill yourself you will start becoming another pattern screamer to haunt the universe

Actually had a similar idea. If the universe is a simulation, maybe when a planet fulfills the criteria it ends the simulation or just stops running for that planet. Some planets were erased because they learned something about the true nature of the universe, while others just disappeared because the foundation discovering them counts as contact with another sentient species.

No, us encountering these species didn't cause this to happen to them. Something beyond time, beyond space, beyond reality itself did it.
If that were so, then it would have happened to 7999, the Foundation would have found planets it had already happened to before initial encounters. Something beyond time and space is using humanity's discovery of other intelligent life below a certain level as a trigger to do this.
And as a comforting thought: there appears to be an opposite force that uses humanity finding civilizations advanced beyond a certain point as a trigger to aid them (7999).

@cpaul562 I have actually left enough clues in my own post on this video. The boss has even seen the relevant video that spells it out. I am not just going to come out and say it because I want people to figure it out and shit themselves in terror as they realize the horror.

I haven't read any 40k books with tzeenchian daemons in it but I feel like they would be described doing shit like what happened in this scp document
For our scale I believe it is around .7, which isn’t horrible but obviously that scale goes to pretty crazy extremes later on.

Ok, so this SCP's driving mechanism is almost certainly Pattern Screamers. If you're not aware of what they are, read up on SCP-3930. What happens to the drone during the ending exploration log is very similar to what happens to the D-Class who's sent in to "explore" 3930. Effectively, both the D-Class and the drone both immediately ceased to exist as soon as they entered their respective voids. In 3930, if too many people are aware of the void's existence, the Pattern Screamers are able to come out of non-existence and physically interact with reality.
What likely happened to the civilizations that undergo SCP-3426 is that once they developed a theory of everything and they got all their shit in order, they were able to collectively recognize the existence (or lack thereof) of non-existence. Living creatures are built to recognize patterns even if there aren't any, which causes Pattern Screamers to manifest. And they hate you for it. I assume that a "critical mass" is effectively hit by the post-3426 civilizations, where enough people know about the Pattern's existence to allow Pattern Screamers to come after the entire species, consigning them and everything they ever built to eternal non-existence.
I know I requested this on a prior joke scp video, but you should check out SCP-004-J by the volgun. It's such a good idea that it should be a regular SCP. I think you'll like it.

I wanted to see if there was a more explained reason for this to occur the author of the post said that the pattern screamers to play a part in what happened. There are also a few tales about this scp as well.

I think that it is not just reaching type 1 that causes this but when they got to that level they learned some things about the universe that they shouldnt have ala the pattern screamers. Cause if too many people know about then they can break through and cause one of these events. They hate our universe as theirs was of thought and energy...oh...omg...they are chaos itself!
So this SCP is why we can't have nice things.
