I never knew one cushion existed until now. Does it mostly attract players who find three cushion too hard?

Well, championships are played on 10 feet tables which are large enough to make the game hard even if it is 3 or 1 cushion game. It is interesting game, and of course, large tables require very fast cloth as cue ball has to travel for pretty long distances sometimes

Still a hard game. And they do end up playing lots of 3 cushion shots.

@@rypkepaulusma One cushion is different discipline, however when you see the counts for shots, those players in single run play way more points than during three cushion.

@@danender5555 Indeed, but a high run has to be related to the sort of game, you cannot compare these two disciplines only on numbers. What is harder: 9-ball, pool or snooker? Same case, you cannot compare these disciplines because they are different games.
