It would have felt like an actual sequel if it released with the PVE mode. Im excited for the mode because the OW story is good and its something new and refreshing for OW
Agreed, I assume that’s why they slapped the early access label on it. But honestly not considering it a sequel till the pve drops

@Leo yeah, the only promises actually kept by blizzard were ones finished back in 2019 already, specifically and only the new maps. They have blizzard polish, and actually are good. Everything else is basically just overwatch one but at least slightly worse, and they've completely broken their promise to never have pay to win microtransactions, and as such lose a lot of the credit they gained for their good work with loot boxes when other companies made games worse with their own.

I can't believe they locked characters behind a battle pass. Like, the most exciting thing about OW1 was when a new character dropped and you could ACTUALLY TRY IT
Lol if that wasn't bad enough, it's annoying as hell to level up if you aren't constantly trying to constantly complete the challenges
The battle pass characters are free, anything that requires IRL currency is entirely cosmetic
thats proof you are talking from your ass without knowing what you are talking about cuz only the brand new character is locked behind the pass all other characters can be unlocked after ur 100th game

it should probably be mentioned that the fact that it's being promoted as 'new' somewhat is definitely bringing in a lot of new players. I know a ton of people who are discovering ow2 and had never thought of touching ow1

It's early access. They wanted to package the game with the hero missions, and story missions. But they released the PvP stuff early.

As an returning player from OW1, Its super fun to play with ftp players whilst also fighting against new players as Lucio, booping them off the map and gettin POTG

I am a new player but i booped a headshot only hitting Cassidy off the map in the German city map for Escort the Payload mission. He was booped near the entrance right next to the payload's spawn area

You're probably going to get pooped on for a while, but hang in there. Figure out a hero you love and start watching videos on how to use that hero the best. Just felt like saying that because I've been curb stomping newbies for the past 2 days and I actually feel bad. Sucks that the new player experience is so rough

I love that big ol Push robot. Probably has some of my favorite lines in the game. I.E. "Why are you fighting, when you could be pushing!"

Don't forget the bastard also says Hello back to you if you use the Hello voice command. The game still has those cute finer details that are lacking in current gen games nowadays.

It's honestly insane how quick I was able to jump back into this after not playing OW for 2 and a half years. A bit miffed that the account merging took forever to get my characters and skins back, but I had no problem picking up Moira again and got both of her achievements the first day I got back.
just dont use skins. aint worth it with the new coins system, 1900 for an OK skin when 1000 is enough for premium battle pass

Overwatch 2 was a reason for me and all of my friends to come back togheder and play it. So I don't care if it is the same game, the fact that it's free makes it amazing.

My biggest issue with OW2 is actually the lack of lootboxes. Seeing the game without any skins makes it feel much more bland. It was nice to see everyone expressing themselves through the skins they used.
I know you didn't say anything bad about them now being there but I'll still say something
The reason they're isn't any loot boxes is because It's a free to play game meaning they wont receive much money if there was still lootboxes. Though it would be cool if they added levels back. A good idea would be like you get a legendary lootbox every 10 levels, or you can get them through events
@@BluePlant Yeah, we know the game is free, but I personally paid $60 (Founders Edition, idk how much was it back then but I think it was 60 bucks) a few years ago to play it and now I return back and I have to spend $25 more to unlock a legendary skin from the shop. Players that already had OW1 should have access to level and loot boxes or we should simply get a discount on the shop items.
Also, they’ve put heroes behind a paywall bro. If you don’t grind 24/7 or u don’t buy the pass, it’s literally almost impossible to unlock Kiriko. And why tf would they put heroes in battle passes? What happens after the season changes, people will not be able to unlock those heroes forever if they don’t buy Founders Edition? Shit sucks

As someone who never played OW1, the release of OW2 felt and acted like a fantastic starting point. One that I would never have tried had OW2 never come out.
Just played it for the first time tonight and it was so much fun!
I agree. A lot of overwatch "veterans" say that OW2 is a failure, but actually the amount of people that never could try this game before is insane, and now that it's free they are having a ton of fun.

I’ve actually had a lot of fun, I didn’t play overwatch 1 so I’m kinda new to it all but I’ve been having a real blast playing it the past two days. I like unlocking characters and playing them learning how to on the way, also love the costumisatics (sadly there locked behind a pay wall but that’s not an big deal gameplay rise…just hurts me cause I love character customization) , and I haven’t really had any problems with toxicity or broken gameplay. It’s just been fun and I’m definitely gonna be keep playing

I've never played overwatch 1 so when they released overwatch 2 for "FREE!!" I was like "okay let's try it" and I love it 😍!! Definitely one of my favorite games ever!!! Love Bastion and Pharah.

OW1 was better, TRUST ME.
The new DPS hero is so fun to play. That sweet sweet slide with the jet leg jump at the end lol. The weapon is also very good and it was a little built in sniper mode.

So I've been playing OverWatch for the past few days and it's been cool and fun I never played the original game mostly because I didn't have anything to play it on and that it wasn't free but this one actually feels good and thank you for your "For noobs" videos they help a lot

Honestly got the game tonight. Haven’t even played OW 1 before, but figured out the basics pretty quick and have had tons of fun so far.
The only one tank only applies if you want to use the role queue instead of the open queue.
Also I like playing Moira and I normally don't like playing healers.
I'm willing to bet you don't play Moira to heal

Aggressive Moira is the best Moira. When to engage and disengage is the key. If they close why the hell not. It's like free real estate basically
what is fun for healer is that now you got 66% chance to play with a tank that got no shield + you got no mobility if you play ana or zen which is really nice because all other hero can kill you faster . very fun game .
1) It’s your choice to play people, if you’re bad at ana or zen don’t play them
2) you don’t need shields anymore. Natural cover exists, tanks need to duel the enemy tank and hold a position. They can do that without just holding right click at the choke
3) ana has one of the only stuns in the game and zen has a huge way to knockback flankers plus does a huge amount of damage so idk wtf you mean
@@sueps4390 2.since rein sigma and zarya being top winrate for a reason and monkey being top tier in youtube tier list it mean sheild is just more important if you play hog queen ball doom enemy dps that have enough brain cell will ignore you and shoot straight to your healer
But that not case for anyone with sheild they cant do that so that why hero with sheild/can protect back line have most winrate
i think the worst part for me has to be the fact that the old skins are now $20

If you played ow1 in those periods when it was free you'll have everyone unlocked and even get the bundle with the 2 skins and kiriko, even if you didn't buy the game

You know, I slowly stopped playing overwatch when I got into apex. Then OW2 came out and I can’t remember the last time I had this much fun playing an online game. I’m exited to see what’s next for this game!

@@a.x.x8184 Oh yes because it has abilities its like overwatch and because its a battle royale its like fortnite even though it has things that make it different like the movement and overall mobility of characters, weapons that have unique features like taking 2 ammo types, different hop up attachments that change a weapons function like double tap, turbocharger, skullpiercer, and hammerpoints, and being able to scan survey beacons that give you info on the next ring so you know where to rotate. And lets not forget the lore of the game that's been built upon a lot more than most other fps including overwatch.

I’m really enjoying Overwatch 2. I’m glad that it’s literally just Overwatch but they added a 2 and made it free. Honestly wasn’t expecting anything else so this “sequel” was perfect.

@@bleedingrevo yeah essentially, just upgraded graphics, few new heroes, comp is now 5v5 rather than 6v6, but overwatch 1 got shut down and replaced with this so it’s weird they call it OW2

i've only played the game for 5 hours or so and mostly as a healer because i have terrible aim (i will try to improve 😭) and i already feel what you said. i'm the only one pushing the payload or capturing the square

i never played ow before and tried ow2 for the first time yesterday. pretty much agree with all your points in this video, as someone who's only experienced ow2 gameplay for a few hours. very fun but i can also see why people rage at this game so much

I was in the middle of updating the game when I stumbled upon a UA-cam video that mentioned how you need to reach level 55 of the battle pass in order to unlock a new hero. I instantly cancelled the update and removed the game from my hard drive altogether. I will not let them disrespect me like that. Especially not after I paid full price for the original game.
I'm glad that the new update made people come back 🙌

Me and my friend haven't ever played OW until OW2. finally got into the game last night and we had a blast! We've been getting a little frustrated with Apex and desperately needed a new game. So much fun! Honestly I like the f2p set up they have, no complaints.

Today I played against a tank who just kept pushing and rushing in just killing the dps and that’s how they won. The tank didn’t tank he just killed our only means of killing and we couldn’t do shit

I played the 1st overwatch on PS4(less than 3 hrs, idk) and I didn't think much of it. Now I'm on PC, and I've been enjoying overwatch 2. It might have to do with switching from controller to kbm, but it's fun now and it wasn't before.
I think the thing that makes me most sad are the hours I’ve spent grinding for skins and levels and how that’s all lost now that OW1 is completely gone.
Edit: I merged my account and have my skins but as the comments have stated the levels are gone. Thankfully the grinding for skins wasn’t completely useless
you can convert accounts, but now you have to buy skins with actual money and the removal of lootboxes make it less fun :(
you still have your skins and your lvl is displayed on your career, even though it won't go up anymore
something im rlly dumbed about is them getting rid of find a group. I used to always join random groups and it was so much fun. now i cant and there's a small part of me that wishes i could just switch to ow1 sometimes but I cant anymore Dx

I mostly don't like the battlepass in its entirety, cause number 1 there are 2 free skins in the whole thing and then there is the fact that it doesn't give currency to get the next one(most battlepasses nowadays do this)

Im so glad this game came out, I dont have a problem with it being the same as OW1 because I always found the first one fun. I've been so bored for the past couple of months and this game has brought me a lot of fun in the past week or so. And the fact it's free is a plus. I love it
Sooo…It’s Apex without Battle Royale but with all of the LTMs that everybody wants and customizable skins…ahn…sounds worth a try.
The thing that I always notice when I played this no one wants to do the objective
I bought OW1 in 2018. played a couple games and deleted it. Now, addicted to OW2, I have a whole new account, new email connected, and a whole new computer, and I have all the characters unlocked straight away. So, yeah, all characters unlocked as a new player. I didn't have to unlock any as you say in the video.

The only tank that fully feels OP is Zarya. She’s virtually unkillable and does way too much damage. Every other tank is either unkillable and meh (Ball for example) or does damage but has an actual plan to burst down. That plan might be 2-3 people bursting the tank, running characters they can’t reach, running characters that ignore their sustain, just plain facing Doomfist, or the DPS taking out the opposing supports and/or dps.
However Sombra and Sojourn need addressing. Both are overly oppressive DPS, with Sombra needing a slight damage nerf and Sojourn needing *something* done about her.
Talking about balancing, as much as i LOVED the kick buff for zen, i cant help but feel like that was an awful choice.
I mean, he is mostly played in mid-far combat and the only buff he gets is in melee? Its like buffing widow by making her assault rifle do more damage in closer distances. Its cool, but the sheer fact of using it is a confirmation that you are in the wrong place
As a noob myself (since i never played this game before) the first thing that i change from configuration is muting hero voices, i cant play with all 5 of them saying their cringe voicelines at the same time
