I love how Keanu is so humble. I have a new design for kitchen utensils and also knives. I have other products too, not kitchen related, so Keanu's story is very inspiring. Well done Keanu, wishing you more success forward.
What a great Interview. I've never had ""coaching"" of any kind, but the thought of having a coach for my ideas is most inspiring and encouraging. Hopefully one day...fingers crossed.
Yeah i think Keanu did a great job with this interview. I'd say most of our students have never had a coach before they came to inventRight. We'd love to have you a student someday. Here's the link to more info on the coaching. inventright.com/services/ - Andrew Krauss, inventRight Co-Founder
I agree. Keanu is doing amazing with his products and with this interview. We think he's so helpful that we've hired him as an inventRight coach. - Andrew Krauss, inventRight Co-Founder
Andrew, you figured it out. These last two interviews are studio production quality in every sence, your subscriber # should start blasting off with continued quality videos like these. There longer, but the flow and information is packed into the interview. So the lenght isn't as important as the complete story and both interviewer and subject are both happy that nothing was left to finish. Great video, Thank You.
Thank you so much Charles. That's very kind of you. Our students like Keanu have real life experiences to share. I feel the audience benefits from longer videos like this sometimes. Thanks for the encouragement. - Andrew Krauss, inventRight Co-Founder
Great story! I love watching stories like this from you guys. I’m an engineer and think of ideas all the time. Recently I’ve patented my design and planning to launch it on indigogo soon and eventually having an e-commerce business. In addition to my 9-5 job, there is lot of work and cost to this and hoping it will be fruitful at the end. Watching videos like this makes wonder if I had gone licensing route would’ve been easier.
Hi Shah, You still can go the licensing route. It's not to late and it won't break the bank license starting your own company. Keep Inventing! - Andrew Krauss, inventRight Co-Founder
Hi David, Our negotiation coach Paul helps all our students with negotiations, however, i think Keanu does them on his own now. Paul was also Keanu's coach. He's so proud of him as i am as well. Keep Inventing! - Andrew Krauss, inventRight Co-Founder
Andrew, I have been watching you for awhile. I am impressed with the company and you. I want to license my ideas, but I am worried that I am not be able to give the time required to be successful. I don't want to start a new venture just to be mediocre. Is that a thought you hear from other students?
Hi Grace, Thank you for the kind words. As far as time goes, if you can consistently spent 2 to 6 hours every week that's all you need. Your coach will keep you on track. It's not like you are starting a new business and you need to spend 60 hours a week or anything like that. You can work on licensing your ideas with a full time job and a busy schedule. I would talk to Sylvia or Dana by booking here so they can talk to you more about coaching. Then take your time and decide if you are ready. - Andrew Krauss, inventRight Co-Founder
The most important thing in this topic is the fine details of achieving even just the first licensing agreement. Most of us will be thinking that exclusivity is foremost on the mind of the licensee. Surely Keanu's deals are somewhat unprecedented and deserve much more elaboration. In sll the videos I've watched i don't even know how long licensing agreements are preferably entered into.
You want them to go forever as long as you are ok with the money being earned. - Andrew Krauss, inventRight Co-Founder ( Call, email, book an appointment or request more info about how we can help by visiting us here. inventright.com/contact/ )
why would someone who is successful at licensing become a couch. seems like he'd be making too much money and be focused on licensing more products. this makes no sense
Clearly you don't understand how licensing works. Keanu's products just started hitting the market in the past couple months, meaning his royalties are further out. Licensing a product doesn't guarantee financial success; ultimately it's up to consumers to decide how successful a product is. Thank you so much for watching.
Some of us have life goals that include helping to boost others up. I would absolutely coach others to help them make their dreams come true, once I've learned how to do it. And it's not like he'll be doing it for free. When you can make money with your passion, and learn and grow along the way, it's a win-win.
