- Classic moorland trails. Probably the best North Yorkshire Moors route of 2020. Starting in the small village of Westerdale, with fantastic scenery around taking in the historic Farndale Railway, some superb fast fun singletrack, and brilliant descending back into Westerdale. Highly recommended!

Randomly found your content, just wanted to say thanks for posting. So many trails / routes I haven’t seen or ridden in 25 + years since moving to the wrong side of the Atlantic!
Appreciate the comment Simon! I've always wanted to give the North York Moors more exposure, as it doesn't see to many bikers, but it's got some great trails and turned into one of my favourite places to ride. Hope it brings back some memories 👍

I go to church houses most weekends down blakey bank, I recognised where you came out near the top of blakey and went off over the road towards Rosedale.
It's awesome over that way. Beautiful area, and loads of bridleways making for some cracking trails

Am back up Harkerside tomorrow
Shouldn't be too bad. There were some sloppy sections tho, so may be worse now. This was ridden late October. You can't beat a bit of Harkerside or Apedale for a good all weather route!
I was up Osmotherley/Hambleton moors yesterday. Weather was bang on 👌🏻. Still a bit sloppy in places though. Have you got a GPX file for this ride mate so I can import to Komoot app. Cheers. 👍🏻

Love your footage, i got got gopro hero 9 for xmas with chestmount went out today in 4k superview but most of my footage was too low and filmed more of frame that straight ahead any tips on mounting and best settings many thanks
Thanks Danny, nice one. So with the chest mount, I mount the Gopro upside down, and tilted up by roughly 45 degrees, so that when you are leaning over on your bike, the Gopro will be facing more forward and show more of your handlebars and the view in front. Hope this makes sense!

How would I find this trail and what do u follow to find direction on the rise
We parked in Westerdale. I would download the ride from strava and put it into garmin and follow the route from that
