According to Dan Aykroyd, in an interview he said the scene of him and Belushi breaking into The Palace Ballroom through the women's bathroom window in Blues Brothers, was John's idea inspired by his love for Joe Cocker's version of this song.

I am envious of those who have the talent and creative ability to bring forth this type of project. The Masked Marauders fooled me 50 years ago....for a while. Great spoof, great music, those musicians were talented and creative. This group, too, are talented musicians and have a wonderful sense of humor.

Like Alistair Taylor said " the Beatles took the piss out of the whole world for 8 years. For those who've never heard of him, well obviously not ....he's been conveniently written out of the Beatles story since 1980. Only 1 person knows this????. He was with eppy when Brian first seen them at the cavern. Played a big part in eppy managing them and also had to run NEMS Enterprises whilst Brian was away with the lads. He also naively refused a percentage of Brian's share of the royalties, in favour of a wage rise at the time. After reading his book his estimates were somewhere between 300-500 million he dropped, this was in the eighties, Brian was worth 4 times more than Lennon/McCartney as his share of royalties was%25 compared to their %7. Even less for George and Ringo. What I gathered from the book was he had no chance of ever being entitled to any money, and all because he refuse %2 in favour of pay rise. How was he to know really? Ended up doing manual Labour /kitchen hand. On a par with Pete Best. Amazing how they've left him out of history as he was assistant to Brian and after Brian died 67. Nothing in anthology. Amazing.

Petradichavich, dear boy, these are goofy rehearsal versions of what were to be future masterpieces (along with some rollicking deconstructions of their past stuff). If you want to "hear it", try any Beatles studio album.

@@Deliquescentinsight Have you heard of the Beatles? These are just earlier jam sessions of songs whose final versions are classics. People enjoy these because we get to hear them joking and playing around while creating classics. Search the final studio versions to hear the final versions. They are amazing.
How can you guys not see his sarcasm? We’re talking about the biggest band ever, here. Of course he’s not being serious. Saying they should’ve worked on their songwriting more is like saying DaVinci should’ve worked on his painting more! Haha
