Randy's first point is a super important one for older folks. You want to be near good medical facilities that offer comprehensive services. I learned this from watching my parents. They retired to a lakeside resort community, which was great for a while, but when one of them got cancer they realized that it was a 2-hour drive to the nearest hospital that could do a cancer treatment.
Impressive! You have really carved out a good life. You are really doing it! Randy seems lovely. I hope he finds a community, keeps active, and finds his tribe. I am so happy for him. You are a good example of what you can do when you relocate.
So proud of you Ty!! You are a true Trailblazer making a path for those who otherwise would not consider moving abroad due to low or fixed income you are giving HOPE and Life for the future of self care, soft landings, peace of mind! It all starts with securing a. roof over your head, the ability to feed yourselves and the affordability to adequate health care! Now that’s a real Flex.. AWESOME Job !!!
Wow. Ty you did a great job with the interview and the showing! Q:s for Randy 1. How does he receive his Ss checks, 2: What Hospitals did he like in Merida 3: How much Spanish does he know. He seems to be adjusting really well.
Well, i only get $1,050 a month here in Boston, i pay $325 one bedroom in a subsidize apartment, Or 30% of your gross, got state medical, cellphone is 12 dollars a month, internet service is $30 soo, i get along with this amount, Merida is a nice place, and i qualified for the Regularization program, becuase i was there in July 2018,but i rather stay here, because of the medical benefits, have prostate cancer, this is an expensive oncological treatment, so, my income will not be enough, outside the .US, unless it subsidize medical treatment available!!
I’m so proud of you Ty!!! You have made a great life for yourself and your family. You are such a role model of resilience and strength.

You have a good deal I personally wouldn't live in Boston if they gave me a free house 😂 too cold no sun long long winters
Wow Congrats Randy hope you have a wonderful retirement in merida
That's still too much money.
yes, indeed, for an studio outside periferico, it should be less, if it a one bedroom, inside periferico, then that's another story!!
He doesn't have to stay there forever it's his starter home
